We stayed in the Mansarda room which consisted of a very large bedroom and a smaller anteroom that could easily serve as a separate bedroom. The total space was probably 75 sm. The beamed ceiling alone is worth the stay. There is a lift that goes to the first floor, but you need to climb a short set of stairs to get to the room. Outside there is a large (16 sm) terrace with furniture. Great for drinks at sunset. The room is nicely decorated with antique furniture (2 chests, 2 armoires and a desk) but it’s not easy to use because of its age. There were 2 flat screen TV’s and a refrigerator (the refrigerator was not working, but the quickly replaced it.) The wifi was a little sluggish, but dependable. The bathroom was very large. There were two showerheads (for those who like to bath together) and a double sink. The lighting was very good. Breakfast was typical of other hotels we used: scrambled eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, juices, yogurt & coffee. The location is very convenient to most restaurants, shopping and the train station. The staff was wonderful. They responded well to every request.

Hotel Palagi is a cosy little hotel with stylishly decorated rooms literally just steps away from Pietrasanta’s train station so a perfect base to visit the town. It was also excellent value for money and included a sweet and savory breakfast, not a given in many Italian hotels.

This is the first time in my countless years traveling in Italy (where we have an apartment in Florence) that I can actually give a hotel at 10 rating without any reservations whatsoever. This beautiful small hotel is in the perfect location from the train station (two minute walk) as well as from the main part of Pietrasanta. It is a gem of a hotel in a jewel of a town. The staff is so professional and so helpful regardless of your needs. The rooms are spotless, the interior design, modern, creative, and lovely. And I can’t say enough about the gorgeous bathroom - the most beautiful I have seen - even compared to a 4 or 5 star hotel. The outdoor terrace is on additional benefit with stunning views and lush plants. The breakfast in a simple and bright room - is superb - with a variety of meat, cheese, breads, fresh fruits, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, jams, honey, juices, and the most delicious assortment of cakes. They even offered fresh lemon, ginger water - a rarity. I cannot wait to return. Grazie Elisa and your amazing and highly professional staff! You made our 5 day stay truly memorable!

My room has wood flooring and a nice city view. The town is quiet in thee evening. Bed was comfy and toilet spacious. The hotel has a terrace/roof garden for relaxing. Reception was helpful.A delight for a 3-star! Only point of confusion was all the Michelin guide signs on the window. I thought there was a Michelin rated restaurant within....

My cousin, who lives in town, booked us here and we were very glad. Lovely small family hotel with wonderful friendly service. Nice large room and bath with excellent light, views, and good Wi-Fi. Excellent location, very short walk to train station, central plaza, shops. Very good breakfast too. They had some terraces to sit, including one lovely one on the roof with views of the town and out to the sea.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION - right in front of the town's main (center) gate, easy to find, convenient to everything. Extremely friendly and helpful staff! Neat, clean, and tidy. I travel a lot for work and constantly stay at so-called '5-star' hotels - all the big names - but Palagi's breakfast was one of the best I've ever had - everything fresh and good, like the strawberries, fruit, and freshly baked bread and cakes (tradition in Toscanna). Good selection of cereals (which I like and which often taste like compressed sawdust). My room had been re-done and although simple, it was very nice and pleasant and had a tasteful look. Excellent small hotel at a great price. Highly recommended.

The hotel is near the center and walking distance from anything you need. Spacious rooms well kept and clean. The breakfast was rich with fruits and fresh products which we did not see in similar places in this area.

Located just at the middle entrance to the picturesque historic centre of the small town renowned for lots of attractive street architecture, art shops, good Restaurants and friendly street life . Hotel Palagi is neat, tidy, comfortable and friendly staff with nearby 100 metes away free secure car parking. Excellent value with a decent breakfast So could walk just across the road into the main pedestrian piazza to enjoy a stroll round the bars and shops and restaurants PLUS the lovely medium sized Cathedral. I had a delicious meal one evening at the small Il Posto Restaurant only 50 yards away - but advise booking as it is very popular. Hotel Palagi is located about 100 yards from the railway station with excellent connections for a day out in Florence, Pisa or Lucca. And only 45 minutes by motorway from Pisa airport.. Really enjoyed this place.

All the good reviews are spot on accurate, the not so good comments are obviously the type of people who like to moan about everything all the time! We loved everything about our 5 night stay at the PALAGI. All the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble,so friendly throughout our stay! The breakfast room and the lady who ran it was superb and the food was excellent, it set us up for the day! All the reception staff were excellent and Katya was superb--so friendly, helpful and happy all the time, her boss is a lucky person to have such good staff in his hotel!!!
