Myself and my husband found Shenval online and thought we'd give it a go. Christiane and Pierre were lovely hosts. Our bedroom was spotless and cosy. We were well looked after and were cooked some of the tastiest, most wholesome food we have had in a long time. Great place to stay - highly recommend it!

My wife and I traveled from Texas to the British Isles in the summer and we ended up finding a precious gem in Shenval. Pierre and Christianne were the most lovely hosts; I had many fascinating conversations about politics, education, and healthcare in Scotland. They are very well read and I learned a lot from them. Our stay was as...

I stayed for 2 nights at the Shenval in October 2016. I was in the area to climb some of the local Munros. Christiane and Pierre were extremely welcoming and friendly. As I needed to make an early start on the first morning, they prepared my breakfast at 0615 - above and beyond! They also helped me dry my wet...

We had a really nice stay for one night (august 2016) at the shenval b&b. Christiane and Pierre are very kindly and gave us good advice which trails and locations in the highlands could be interesting on our tour. The room was cosy, clean and we where happy to sleep very good in a quiet environment. The evening and morning...

Some places have a beautiful setting others are set in a beautiful place. Some are run by beautiful people and others are simply beautifully tranquil and out of the hustle and bustle of a town or city. The Shenval B&B has it all and still more. I had an early start on the morning of my departure as I was...

This wonderfully quirky B&B is run by a charming French couple - Pierre and Christiane - who have lived in the area for the past 35 years. It is in a quite remote but beautiful location and the house is spotlessly clean. Our room was on the small size but had everything in it one could need. From our bedroom...

We had a really enjoyable stay at Shenval. The hosts are incredibly warm and friendly and we enjoyed watching the wildlife in their garden over a delicious breakfast. Cosy, comfy room with lots of charm, and close to the beautiful Glen Affric (highly recommended for walking).

A lovely friendly B&B if slightly quirky. Pierre-Marie and Christiane were super hosts and the breakfast was wonderful. It's in a beautifully quiet location and was ideal as a starting point for our holiday trip driving the NC500. Clean and comfortable, we would definitely stay there again.

My wife, daughter and I visited Shenval in March, staying for two nights. Pierre Marie and Christiane were (and are !!) fantastic, friendly hosts, in what is a magical location. The evening meals and breakfasts were excellent, with lots of interesting conversation with Pierre Marie and Christiane before and after eating. Glen Affric is easily accessible from Shenval, and we...

My lady friend Karen and I were traveling in Scotland in February, and needed a place to stay between Ft. William and Inverness, so we called around, and were very pleased to find Christiane on the other end of the phone line. We surprised her with our request to stay in the dead of winter, and eventually got to Shenval...
