Fantastic! Try it for yourself. The copper dog has a great relaxed atmosphere with excellent locally sourced food an drink. One of my favourite restaurants and I've tried a few in my time. A gem in Speyside and ideal for exploring the local area.
Loved everything about this hotel. The copper dog restaurant serves wonderful hearty Scottish meals in a great environment. The downstairs bar was buzzing in the evenings enhanced by live music. The upstairs quaich whisky bar has a mind blowing selection of single malt whisky and...More
Just popped in here for lunch, with really good friends. Spoilt for choice with the menu in the Copper dog. We all chose different dishes, and I had the fish pie ! Well chosen, and I would have it again, and again, and again.

the painting was not the problem for us , it was the poor attitude , road noise ( which cannot be avoided ) , the dirty rooms , restaurant and bar . We visited the Station hotel in Rothes at the weekend & the ambience , service & dining was of a far far higher standard . but if you book to stay book a suite towards the back as it is also on the road . The cooperage at Aberlour is definitely worth a visit & Glenfiddich visitor centre .. further afield Elgin Cathedral ( ancient ruins ) & Lossiemouth beach / walk to lighthouse is wonderful too . have a great trip .
