We stayed here during the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival and the location is just fantastic - a stone's throw from the Macallan, Glenfiddich, the Cooperage, etc... It also has a wonderful pub/restaurant, the Copper Dog, and its opposite the Highlander Inn which also has a great selection of whiskies. In general, the service was impeccable - from the reception,...

Stayed here for the whisky festival 2017, great hotel with a fantastic whisky bar. Nice rooms, nice scenery and a wonderful breakfast. Really knowledgeable and helpful staff! They also have a bar and restaurant in the basement, it was full one evening and we got some small dishes served at the bar upstairs, great service and great food!

The Craigellachie was a very pleasant place to spend a night, pet friendly, with a cozy fire in the lobby, a great bar (see below), a good hot breakfast offer, and an excellent restaurant (the Copper Dog, reviewed separately) downstairs. Our room was large, comfortable and clean (although upstairs without an elevator, so a bit of a slog with the...

We chose the Craigellachie Hotel after reading a review in the Mail On Sunday, it was an excellent write up and we knew we had to stay there. We did not know that the week wanted coincided the Whiskey festival, after a bit of juggling by a very helpful member of staff we managed to get the last Snug Room...

We arrived fairly late but we were greeted by a friendly hotel clerk. Parking is a bit precarious and limited so we ended up parking on the river side of the hotel on the side of the driveway. This made for an adventurous trip pulling our luggage to the hotel entrance. The hotel management allowed us to order dinner at...

The main problem was the location of the hotel - the website photos and other reviews hide the fact that this is on the edge of a town looking out over a rather busy and loud A road. Not highland peace and quiet in rural beauty, quite far from it. The interiors of the hotel have been re-done to a...

Meal today - Excellent food and courteous service but oh dear the portions! I know the nations allegedly in the grip of a obesity epidemic but considering the food is supposed to be the cheapest element in overall catering industry costs, you wouldn't know it here. Rack of lamb : 4 med chops. Desert: looked like a free taster -...

This hotel is truly wonderful, it's right in the centre, wonderful warm welcome, really friendly staff. Rooms were super comfortable and we got a wee upgrade which was nice. We ate in the Copper Dog downstairs a really lovely cosy trendy pub with amazing food and great friendly chatty staff. The Quaich Bar is something else if you love whiskey....

A wonderful hotel which lived up to all expectations. It has an outstanding mix of comfort and elegance, with a level of service which is extremely rare. From the moment we checked in the there was a warm and welcoming ambience, with a pleasing scent of wood on the air from the open fires which decorated and warmed the bar,...
