Amazing Sunday roast lots of beef that was so tender. Real vegetables lovely Yorkshire puds. And lots of food. Great beer here too. We have been here over and over would recommend. Basic food at very good prices. Good staff and friendly service.

Staff were friendly but the room was very out of date. A late night disco downstairs kept us away until after 12 so I would advise checking to see what events are on before booking as it is not sound proof. Breakfast in the morning was lovely some of the best poached eggs I have ever had.

Here for a group lunch, say 40+, & same menu for all - more than acceptable food at reasonable price served by friendly & efficient staff in a timely manner. Hard to think of anywhere offering better value in the circumstances. Good range of drinks available.

I've been wary of visiting for some time, but it was all totally unfounded. The food was amazing, I'm totally full now and that's just with a main course from the bar menu. The place was clean, tidy, organised, friendly staff. What more do you want from a pub?

This establishment is very worn and tired. The room are quite shabby and not really clean in places. The kettle in our room was so dirty I couldn't bring myself to make tea in the morning. Would not stay here again under any circumstances. Breakfast was good, very friendly staff

This b&b was clean and comfortable but fairly basic but fine if you are on a budget. Internet in bar area only. The bed was comfortable. I asked when I booked if I could have a room at the back as I hate traffic noise. I was given a room at the front and although it was not a busy...

We dropped in here because we were in the area and hungry, with no particular expectations, but in fact, though the decor is decidedly old fashioned, the menu was varied and the food tasty and freshly cooked. This is not a "destination" eatery, but if you happen to be passing, it's a safe bet. n.b. we used this to eat,...
