My brother was a local doctor who used to fish the Dart and we often walked the banks, There is a good path along much of it but there are parts where it can be tricky, particularly as you get older. There is a short walk past the church to the railway halt down the hill which I took each morning I stayed at the hotel. It is a great area with so much to see up and down the Dart, well worth a visit.
