Such a fantastic concept and very well executed. The staff here are trained from the local community and are so passionate about the environment and our stay. The food was excellent, presented very professionally. I stuck with the Sri Lankan curries and enjoyed every bit. The lodges are very well appointed and great to stay in. I got cold in...

We should have stayed here for 2 nights, but the hotel informed our guide the day of our arrival that they couldn't accommodate us and we would have to move to a hotel on the other side of the rainforest for our second night. ( this was ok as the other hotel was nice and very close to the rainforest...

This hotel is within a field of an old tea plantation at the very border of a small part of the rain forest reserve, through which a few trails exist. Note that the main body of the rain forest is NOT open to the public, as it is closed for all but researchers. Note further, that "at the very border"...

We stayed two nights at this small hotel. We loved the idea of converted shipping containers as accommodation and this really did work well, although it was fairly basic. Worth noting that it was very cold at night and the extra blankets (supplied and in the wardrobe) were needed. Each container has its own decked balcony area too. From our...

We planned to stay 2 nights in this hotel. Unfortunately, there was a problem with a single aggressive elephant in the region. The management was extremely helpful to book another hotel at the other side of the Park and we stayed only 1 night. The container style bungalows look very basic from the outside. Once inside hoever, they are very...

We included this stop on our itinerary as my husband particularly wanted to visit the rainforest. The converted containers are surprisingly well laid out with good water pressure in the shower. The food was ok and as we only stayed one night, we didn't encounter any problems comfort-wise. The massive disappointment for us was the fact that the lodge is...

We stayed for 2 nights over xmas 2016. We enjoyed very much the fresh air and the tranquillity at the ecolodge, really great for city escape. We appreciate the idea of sustainability in the Rainforest, and the effort to protect the environment contributed by the staff. Service is great and the staff are friendly to chat with. The chalet (room)...

My husband loves the rain forest so this seemed an obvious choice for us. Be prepared for the long journey to the lodge on a very narrow road. We were lucky that by our chalet there were often monkeys. We were unable to go into the forest as there was a rogue wild elephant around he had actually been in...

We visited rainforest ecolodge in Ferbruary 2017 during our trip to Sri Lanka. The place was recommended to us by my sister and her family who lives in Sri Lanka and I'm so thankful she did. The ride to the place is pretty rough. The road is narrow, can barely fit two vehicles. Make sure a star driver takes you...

This place is very special. They are mixing a superb hotel with sustainability within the rainforest. Excellent facilities, food and service. All the staff are local. We had three trips into the rainforest and saw Superb Magpies, Mouse Deer, Samba Deer, Civets, pitcher plants etc etc. We love what they are doing here
