I returned to The Banyan Tree in February after my first visit two years ago and it was so wonderful to be back. The beautiful pool was a new and welcome addition. Happily my favourite things were the same-the birdsong, the warmth and friendliness of the staff, the delicious food that is lovingly prepared, the grounding yoga shala. Annu and Chinu have created such a special place and their love and care shines out.

Can't praise the guys here highly enough, beautiful place and fantastic people. They have built something unique, and the end result is a place which makes you feel at peace. Would definitely return, highly recommend.

I love this place. I’ve stayed here a couple of times and I’m as amazed this time as I was last at the quality of care and service. It’s run by 2 friends, Annu and China, and they have poured their hearts into making it the peaceful haven that it is. Everything here is done with love. The huts are simple but tasteful, the gardens lush and abundant, the food consistently delicious. The beach is a 20 minute walk away. I had a migraine one day and was looked after beautifully as if by my own family. Can’t recommend it enough.

This is super amazing, wonderful and inspiring! Cozy, quiet, build with the soul, super-talking care of you staff, tasty food, lovely eco-house. The only place where we would come back. So so sweet and lovely. Thank you for making the end of our vacations unforgettable

This place is even more magical in real life- no photos can do it justice! The place that Annu and Chinu have created is an absolute paradise and has such a wonderful energy. The huts are clean and spacious, and every staff member there could not do enough to make sure that you are happy and relaxed. Staff delivered herbal tea to our room every morning before yoga, they were really accomodating to our dietary requirements (vegan, gluten free) with some of the best food we've ever had (we ate there every day for 2 weeks it was so good), Annu and Chinu arranged any trips that we wanted to go on and we're always around so we could request a local taxi. The beach is about a 20 minute walk away but it only costs a few hundred rupees in a taxi which is super cheap (and the beaches are amazing, especially at sunset). The pool was exceptionally clean and so relaxing to be around, and the dogs were so beautiful and friendly! At one point in the trip I was feeling unwell, and so staff made me special food to help me get better. On my wife's 30th birthday, rose petals were scattered everywhere she went and the guys made her a cake which was presented to her as a surprise around a candle lit pool after dinner- it was the most perfect way to spend your 30th birthday!! Annu, Chinu and the staff they employ definitely make this place what it is. You can have a beautiful place but without beautiful people, it's nothing! We've never met such friendly, open people and we felt so safe to be ourselves at Banyan Tree Yoga. I know it sounds too good to be true, but it really isn't- this place is a hidden gem!

We ended up here totally by accident but it turned out to be just the perfect way to spend a week in Goa. Nestled away from the main strip near Ashwem Beach these huts and the people who run them are wonderful. Annu & Chinnu who own and run the place are two of the loveliest people you could meet. Nothing was too much effort and a warm smile was always present. The food was tremendous; fresh fruit, cereal & hot food at breakfast always came with endless chai or coffee. We opted to have dinner very night here as the food was simply too good to go anywhere else. Every night a different vegetarian thali, tofu, chickpeas, aubergine, squash, roti, paratha, pakoras and so much more, all prepared fresh and, if you could manage it, seconds were always offered. I chose to do the yoga classes twice a day and really enjoyed the pace and dynamism of Jo. She created a wonderful environment in which to practise, the morning sessions were higher intensity but with lots of options and the afternoon sessions were at a lower pace. I was able to really relax my body and my mind. The accommodation was perfect, great size huts where you can forget where you are tucked away behind all the beautiful plants and trees and while we were there we were lucky enough to have the pool totally to ourselves providing a very welcome way to cool down after a day in the sun. I very rarely go back somewhere as there are too many places to see but this one, this one I have to visit again!

Spent a week at the Banyan Tree as part of a Yoga on a Shoestring holiday. It really is a special place and you can feel the love and care that Annu and Chinu have put into building it all. They are incredible hosts, always on hand and making sure your needs are catered for. The food is incredible! The swimming pool is great. We enjoyed the outdoor shower and felt well protected by the mosquito nets. We walked or took taxis to the beach when not at the Banyan Tree.

Lovely calm resort about 20 mins walk to Ashwem beach or quick taxi to Mandrem. Eco huts are self contained, spacious, have a balcony overlooking gardens, eco toilets (squatting) clean and practical, outdoor bathrooms. Amazing vegetarian food, all cooked on site and made with ingredients from the gardens. Can buy and bring in alcohol if you want but not provided on site Lovely pool and yoga shala. Anu and Chinnu really make this a fabulous place to stay, always smiling and joking, nothing is too much trouble and great at organising trips, taxis whatever you need. Love the fact they rebuild every year

I looked for a place to chill out and i found this place to be ideal and stayed 3 nights here. Staying in an eco hut among the greenery and singing birds was a wonderful and unique experience with visits by one of the friendly dogs living here napping on my balcony, clean room and quiet. The hosts Annu and Chinnu were very guestfriendly and also the staff.I had my meals mostly here which was tasty, indian vegetarian . The pool was great and gave a sense of indulgence. The distance to beach is fine when it's not too hot else the taxiride was short.
