Spent a long weekend at the Kazar in the pictured bedroom and enjoyed our stay. The building inside and out is full of character with fine detail finishes and an up-market feel. Don`t expect UK standard four star though, just a good mid-range hotel in a central situation. It has a bar and restaurant but it`s more for functions than...

Booked last minute on the day. We found this hotel fantastic. Room was comfortable and terrace from the bedroom was superb. Receptionist on check out and another receptionist on check out we're excellent. They both spoke little English bu as we can speak Spanish on conversational level we got on great. Restaurant wax closed Sunday but we found Piaxixi which...

When you are spending the night in this town, this hotel is the only decent option. Location is good, free parking is nice. The front desk was helpful although not fluent in English. Everything is very clean and very well kept, although the interior is ‘classic’. My room was large, so was the bathroom. Airco was not functioning well. Be...

This hotel punches way way below it's weight. The building and rooms are definitely 4* but that's where it ends. The rooms are sparse with a distinct lack of any information whatsoever. Not even a directory or information about meal times or amenities. The bathroom equipped with insufficient toiletries and what can only be described as dog towels. No shower....

Stunning looking building in the centre of town with good free parking and easy walking distance to everywhere in town. Rooms were big airy and bright. We had a front room which proved to be very noisy. The hotel is a old building and noise throughout it travels. We had a meal their and it was okay but probably the...

Booking this hotel was simple. One email, with an instant response from Sheila = job done. The hotel is on a one-way street, so traffic noise is low, although you can hear the motorbikes going up the hill when you have tea in the garden. When you're in the rooms, you barely hear anything. The rooms are lovely. I had...

Hotel Kazar looks like a Moorish Palace and it has a room where Queen Sophia had stayed. This is my third stay at Hotel Kazar, but it was the first time we dined in the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We normally ordered a la carte. For the first time, I saw the daily menu on display that offered...

Apparently 4 star, this grandiose 19th century mansion in the centre of Ontinyent, on first impression, is magnificent in stature, clean and the reception staff are pleasant and in 2006, worthy of a Royal visit from the King & Queen of Spain, who actually stayed in this hotel. Who knows, possibly in the very bedroom we had? We arrived on...

The Hotel is rated 4 star and deservedly so based on initial impression upon arrival, very classical exterior facade with a hint of Indian or middle eastern thrown in. On a couple of occasions we had an aperitif or two on the lawns outside which for a town centre based hotel was pleasantly quiet. What the hotel lacked were basics such...

One of the meanest breakfast I've ever had! OJ, coffee and toasted breeze block. The bill was 7 euros higher than my company advise me, terrible wifi. Thankfully only had to stay one night. My room was cold and I couldn't heat it.

“Ontinyent is a sad place, it has a couple of good shopping streets close to the hotel but apart from that, it resembles a war zone. If one has to go to Ontinyent, then ask for tome 306 but if it is not essential, find another town. We shall not return.”
