I went with my family and must say Hospitality is the key focus of the Saraf Family. Hygiene and property are added feather in cap. Enjoyed the veg food which was yummy and mouth watering. I must say 5 on 5. Kudos to Apurva and her Dad.

We had visited the cottage on 30th January just after the easy out of corona threat that has changed everyone's life and stayed there for almost 2 days. We were looking for something which is secure regards all the pandemic restrictions. The stay and experience over exceeded our expectations. First of all I would like to give special thanks to the owner cum host Mr. & Mrs. Sharaf for making our stay a memorable one. He was always there for all our requirements and needs. Cleanliness was high on their agenda which was really surprising. We had been given clear idea & info about their services and facilities which was really helpful in planning our stay there. A group of 16 people with different age groups, never felt anything missing in their services, let it be food or games or stay. Personal touch, catering to our requirements touched out hearts. Visit to really experience a great hospitality.

We booked 2 rooms at Nirmal Cottages [Cottage no. 1 (7-bed) and no.6 (6-bed)] for an overnight stay in the last week of December 2020. It is a small but clean, green and well-laid out mini resort. It has everything that a family would look for during a short stay - clean rooms, good food, swimming pool, and indoor games (TT, foos-ball, carrom, chess; also Zenga, playing cards, Uno). There are 2 medium-sized lawns, ideal for badminton and other outdoor group games. Nothing luxurious about anything, but everything neat and clean; with attention to detail. This is amongst the rare tourist homes (its too homely to be called a hotel) to have a clothes drying stand in every cottage - which is so thoughtful for a beach destination.  Probably the best part was the homely yet delicious food - be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. The spread was limited, but everything was tasty, be it Pav bhaji, upma, poha, or jalebi. To top it all was the hospitality - ever-smiling and affable owner, Apoorva, who seems to genuinely love looking after her guests. The fact that the owners live on the same premises shows in the up-keep of the place and sets it apart. We enjoyed our short stay and would definitely recommend the place, specially for families and for lovers of vegetarian food.

Response from Aniruddha Saraf, Owner at Nirmal Cottages

Sorry to say but such guests are unwelcome in our property. Because we stopped you from consuming sheesha/hukka in our property this is how you threatened us and so you did by writing this review. We have a fixed menu buffet system which was well known to you before and very well specified on our website also. All your group members enjoyed throughout, we also have chats where your group members are telling us what a good property & food we have. As far as TV channels (TataSky) we give Free channels only, this is well specified not only on our website (FAQ) but also in all our mails. Idli for breakfast is an item highly in demand and favoured by all our guests. Right after the 1st meal when we were informed, all the meals were prepared separately without chilly for kids, needless to say children were never left hungry.
