This is one of the many Maisons Familiales in a system of over 600 vacation centers all over France. More simple and sympa than a Club Med, they are probably what the first Club Meds were modeled on. You stay and pay for a week, tout compris, including activities. Great hikes, une clientele chalereuse -- but you better speak French...no...

I went to this place for participation of a conference which was hosted in this strange kind of hotel. This is not a first class hotel but a dormitory style place in order to host many guests for skiing or hiking. It is in the centre of nature in the French Alps near Grenoble. It's along way to go there...

Amazing hills around this amazing hotel 500 m from the center of Autrans. Nice to visit during the summer, winter or whenever you want. 25 km from Grenoble, easy to reach by bus (each hour). The price is not high.
