This family run hotel is a great place to stay if you want to get away from the crowds. I visited in May ,before the start of the season, and it was wonderful. ( I can imagine in season it can get pretty crowded ....More

Lovely small hotel with a great rooftop bar overlooking the sea. Staff is friendly and helpful and Bonassola is a quiet reprieve from the onslaught of tourists in the five cities of cinque terra. Only minutes from the train station

We did not take cooking classes at the hotel. We were on a guided walking trip. Bur we enjoyed our dinner there each evening and it's possible that they may offer cooking classes. We liked our stay at the hotel very much. I... More

In terms of transportation options, train options from Bonassola to Venice would take between 5 1/2 to about 7 hours, via Pisa and Florence, or via Parma and Bologna. You could probably drive in about 4 to 5 hours... More
