We returned after two years and found the campsite and houses still open and dynamic. After the sudden death of the owner in 2014 the family had the courage to go on with the place. They changed even the reception and bar for better. The campsite is as good as before with many spacious places with electricity and water. The ablution...

We had a terrible time there. The place was flooded but also unwelcoming, unmanaged and charmless. Management is absent, staff are left to do whatever they want (or not), they did not want to give us breakfast until 8am !!. It seems no one cares about guests. Dinner was average and served in an unfriendly manner.

We were recommended to visit because of the opportunity to understand more about the San way of life. We were not disappointed - the local San family showed us a lot about how to survive in the harsh environment and taught us about some of the challenges they face in balancing between tradition(s) and modernity. On top of that, the...

Thakadu Bush camp is about 10km outside of Ghanzi. I was planning to camp there as I always do, but after 2 months in my tent on the Okavango Panhandle, I craved a room with a bed and most importantly, an aircon. I stayed in a very nice cabin with on suit toilet and shower for about R800 a night....

Sandy and then bumpy. when you arrived the reception is warm and the manager assist to give you all the relevant information. the camping is good although the ablution needs attention specifically the ramps for disabled persons is to steep....

We stayed here one night at the end of October and enjoyed it. It's 3 km off the highway. First part of the road is very sandy then it is rocky and just a bit rough. No problem for us as we had 4 wheel drive in our truck. Bar/restaurant sits beside a lovely waterhole which is illuminated at night....

Traveling from Gaborone to the Okavango Delta, we decided to stay at this bush camp for the night. Instead of camping we stayed at the spacious tent at the site with air blowers and bathroom with shower. The restaurant is located near a waterhole which is illuminated during the night. Game comes to drink there while you can have a...

I booked one of the Meru tents and it was a wonderful African Experience. The reception staff went beyond their expectations.Stayed two nights. The place has wild game that graze around while you stand by the porch. It was an experience to see and hear the wild like the springbok, kudu, close to the tent.....I would definitely come back again for a...

I stayed here 1 night as a solo traveler, my last night in Africa before flying home. It was a perfect place to feel immersed in the bush with wildlife one last time; as I sat eating delicious, fresh food from the restaurant, I watched group after group of plains game at the floodlit waterhole. Although game meat is the...

We arrived at Thakadu when the new owners just started a day before and it was a wonderfull stay! The location is stunning as are the chalets in one of which we stayed. The owners are kind and very eager to keep this place as great as it is. We came in late, but could still order lunch and get...
