Hard to add to previous excellent reviews - Steve and Yvonne's friendly welcome (which included tea and cakes), the breakfast, the room, the village, were all superb and we left feeling we'd found new friends. Just a couple of small niggles - Wi-Fi didn't work in our bedroom, but it did on the landing, so not a real problem, and...

We visited Old School B&B this week, and I can't praise it enough, the room was lovely the breakfast was excellent. The Old School is set in a beautiful Village just off the A1, ideal for visiting any where in Northumberland. But the best was the warm hospitality from Steve and Yvonne, such lovely people welcoming you into their home,...

Looking on Trip Advisor for places to visit whilst holidaying in Northumberland I stumbled across this little gem, which had favourable reviews. A family owned and run 'boutique' art gallery and cafe displaying works produced by the family and other local artists. The artwork alone warrants the good review but add the coffee, cake and the unique location and you...

Had a very enjoyable two night stay at the Old School over the August Bank Holiday. Owners Steve and Yvonne were very accommodating, and cooked up a pretty mean breakfast to boot. Our room was very characterful, with a pitched roof and beams, but we were still able to enjoy all the mod cons like WiFi. Outside the room was...

Stayed here in July to meet up with old friends. Yvonne and Steve couldn't do enough for us and when our friends arrived they brought us tea cake upstairs to enable us to see the beautiful garden and wood. Perfect breakfast, room and just about everything! They really make you feel welcome without imposing. Will be back soon!

Greeted by Yvonne and Steve, a lovely friendly couple, on arrival, and given a short tour of house with a bit of the history, and met the parrot, before having tea and cake. Lovely house and gardens. Had a lovely room at the front of the house. The shower cubicle would not be suitable for large people, but was ok...

My parents used to own this house and the interior modifications to change it into a B&B look to be excellent and tastefully done. The garden is beatiful and is still pretty much the same. Nearby Alnwick Castle made several guest appearances in Downton Abbey and Alnwick (pronounced Anick) is a great little town.

Spent a very pleasant three nights here in July 2016! The property is located about half a mile off the A1, in Newton on the Moor. It proved a great base from which to explore the north east coastal towns and villages. Our hosts Steve and Yvonne made us very welcome. On arrival, we were offered a pot of hot...
