Stopped here for one night on our way from Strahan to Hobart. It happened to be a very cold, rainy February day with even snow on the mountain top so we didn't get to see much around the the property. The aircon was on when we arrived so the lake view cottage was lovely and warm when we arrived. It...

This is an old hydro power town that is now in private hands and has to be one of the worlds quirky hotels. Think Truman Show. They have a variety of accommodation but we chose the Engineers Cottage, which is house. It is incredibly clean and furnished to the period. I only wish they sold the items that are furnishing...

An overnight stopover in well appointed Engineers Cottage on way to western Tasmania so arrived mid arvo. Managed to get in a 1 hour walk b4 dinner to view some nearby falls, only negative was the walk track could have been better maintained and some of the nonslip wire netting on the viewing platform was perished making it a tripping...

We had an amazing time, the house was well laid out and clean and bright. Kids loved playing in the house and garden and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. Bbq was delivered to our doorstep and we highly recommend d the night time animal spotting with special torches. Just lovely

We were fortunate to stay in one of the Engineers Cottages for 2 nights in early May, and can only describe it as amazing. The cottage we stayed in (number 12) has been beautifully renovated and retains many of the original features. The decor and furnishings are stylish and it is really well maintained, so it has a true luxury...

We stopped here on our way from Strahan to Hobart. The accommodation was great and the surroundings were very interesting. We enjoyed seeing the huge power station and the wonderful farm animals. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner after cocktails in front of the fire in the bar. A most enjoyable short stay!

Our family of four stayed in an Architect's cottage for four nights just prior to Christmas 2014. The cottage was very spacious with two three large bedrooms, two bathrooms,a large kitchen , an internal laundry and a REAL log fire. The cottage also contained multiple sitting areas from which to appreciate the brilliant view of the valley. Plenty of wildlife...
