First time ever in Tarraleah, but it won't be the last. We stayed one night here recently and was very impressed with the cottages, ours had a view over the valley which was beautiful. The cottage we were in also had two main bedrooms with comfy king size beds and a third bedroom with single beds. They are all renovated...

Its a whole street of vintage homes. Ours was no 12, with 2 double & 1 single bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry, kitchen , dining, sunroom, outdoor setting in the backyard- everything except an open restaurant. It seems we arrived in the off season, which was the same reason given a few years back when we visited [in February]..... maybe next...

How beautiful this little place. Spotlessly clean well maintained cottages and town. Management were helpful and friendly. Our teenage daughter was disappointed without her wifi but enjoyed the activities. Prices were reasonable and the beds comfy. The 3 heat pumps were on when we arrived and the wood fire set ready for us to light. The reasturant was closed at...

Very dissapointed with the deceiving marketing of the accommodation in a travel magazine. I have lodged a complaint to the wholesaler but they say they have never had a complaint. Our experience was this: Picture in book was a cottage and prices start at $60 pp per night and said balcony views. We were in Scholars House which had a...

We turned off the main road looking for some last minute accommodation late one night. We were the only ones there along with another couple of ladies who were in the same situation as us. Management advised us that even though the restaurant was closed (due to it being off peak season), there was accommodation available if we had food...

We had a week in Tasmania self catering at 3 different places as a family of 6, grandparents, parents and 2 children. We found the cottage at Tarraleah which was our last one, a lovely house but very spartan. The other places we stayed had far more dishes, utensils etc in the kitchen, this had the bare minimum. We had...

We booked a three bedroom Architect's Cottage for one night, for four adults. The cottage was just wonderful, fully self-contained with spacious rooms and an open fire. There was a large carport adjacent to the back door and a wood shed. These cottages command a wonderful view across the valley. The cottage was furnished in art-deco/modern style with comfortable beds,...

We booked in for the cheaper option of a cabin and needed up with a really great cabin up near the deer enclosure. Tarraleah is very quite at this time of year ( winter ) and the cafe, pub and resturant are not open but we knew that before booking. Winter price of $80 for the night was excellent. The...

Booked the family to stay overnight in the Tarraleah Cottages via recommendations from friends. What a wonderful place to stay, all houses have been modelled with Art Decor theme. On arrival our cottage was warm and inviti g throughout the whole house. All we had to do was light the fire and settle in. Alas there was not any eateries...

We needed a place to stay. Tarraleah was close, but we definitely didnt expect to stay in the houses. We thought they were for miners for something. The night in one of the cottages was really good, with a fire place, heaters and fully equipped kitchen. The cottage was so cute. Really recommend staying here!! We had great customer service...
