Mummelsee was one of the stop in our itinerary and I did not stay overnight at Berghotel. The hotel looks cool with its country charm and it appears to be a good place for conventions and retreats. It backs onto the Lake Mummelsee which is peaceful and tranquil and next to it is a sizeable shop that sells lots of...

Stayed for one night, wish we'd stayed longer! Everything was just superb, from our room over looking the lake to the evening meal and breakfast. Take the walk around the lake to see the bronze mermaid on the far side, it'll only take 20mins. SatNav Lat/Long N48.59638° E8.20037°

We didn't stayed at the hotel, but we had cake (alcoholic with cherries - YUM! ) and a local beer. The service was great and the view amazing! The cakes are on display so you can see them before you choose - but it will be hard as they all looks amazing!

Stayed in a room that accommodated 4 adults, with a comfortable fold-out bed in the common space. The location was excellent. The room pristine. The dining room friendly and food very good. Sunday breakfast buffet included sparkling white wine and the option of squeezing your one fresh OJ. The hotel is on a tiny lake, the Mummelsee, with a walking...

Stopped in to have some coffee and cake while traveling through the Black Forest. Please note that this is just a review of the restaurant and not the hotel itself. Atmosphere: the restaurant has a very welcoming appearance. There is ample seating for various size parties. There is even a children's play area near the front of the cafe. The...

Went to the restaurant for an afternoon treat and coffee - incredible cakes and desserts! The Schwarzwalder (black forest cake) was fantastic - all portions were huge! The walls are decorated with cuckoo clocks (that all sound off at different times, not annoyingly loud, just fun...) Also, the artwork in the restaurant is off artists' different renditions of cuckoo clocks...

This hotel has just been rebuilt after the old one was burnt down. So therefore the hotel is very comfortable and located in a special place. If you like hiking then this is the place. A major feature is the lake which they say is the bottomless lake because nobody know how deep it is. The major attraction in ths...

An amazing find of a hotel, such a beautiful little complex set around the Mummelsee, with an onsite shop, bakery, spa and restaurant. The views and walks from this hotel, as well as the drive along the B500 through the Black Forest are spectacular. Our room overlooking the Mummelsee was beautifully furnished to a very high standard, and the bed...
