Were made us very welcome arriving the farmhouse and found very impressive, the owner mad us lovely tea/coffee plus home made cakes including gluten free( you have to inform the owner for preparing). This was our 1st visit, our son and his fiancée went twice. Really perfect place to stay in lovely surrounding. Breakfast really excellent as we have chosen...

Took my parents for their first visit and my partner and I 3rd visit. Helen remains the most hospitable host and had gone the extra mile as my dad has to have Gluten free food. The cakes were gluten free, the sausages for breakfast were gluten free (although very strong herby flavour which was lovely) and had gluten free bread....

We stayed at Sandhills for 3 nights on the basis of the excellent reviews. The farm is in a great location, ideal for Keswick and the northern lakes. The setting is good too with access down to the lakeside and the little church. The room and breakfast were both top notch, with a very welcoming host, Helen.

My bridesmaids and I got ready here before my wedding at Armathwaite Hall and it was the perfect setting. The accommodation is finished to a beautiful standard and Helen and her family are very welcoming and accommodating - putting extra effort in to make sure our stay was perfect. The farm is a short walk to the lake front and...

Sandhills Farm B&B is conveniently situated between Mirehouse and Bassenthwaite. We enjoyed great walking on Ullock Pike and around Skiddaw. Bedrooms are large, very comfortable and well equipped and the breakfast very good.

This was our second visit in 2 years to Sandhills and we were not disappointed, we didn't want to leave. Helen is such a lovely, genuine person and just makes you feel so welcome without going over the top. Sandhills is in such a stunning location, the 5 minute walk down to the lake is a must!. Our room was...

Great spacious room (Limousin) with countryside views and a large ensuite. We were greeted with tea and cake on arrival by our host Helen who has a wealth of information about local walks as well as good restaurants. Walking books are available for use during your stay - we found the book on short walks very useful. Kingsize bed was...

We have stayed at Sandhills for the last 2 years running (other than 2014 as they were booked up) You have to visit this place to understand how incredibly beautiful it is! We were so disappointed we were unable to visit this year but understandably they were booked up, Helen is an exceptional host and fantastic cook. The room was...

We stayed for a week in May, and although it was half term and generally busy, this area was as peaceful and relaxing as you could wish for. Our room was big, comfortable and beautifully decorated, always warm, (great under floor heating in the bathroom/wetroom), and with lots of space and storage. Helen cooked lovely presented breakfasts as well as...
