Wonderful Resort. A truly beautiful place with great service and great views. The one and only issue I had here and the only reason I give it 4/5 instead of 5/5 is that the main pool was freeeezing which ruined the fun. No idea why they cheaped out on turning on the heat
The Lobby Bar is great! Find Joshua and ask him for the Josh’s Jazzy Juice. It’s Bourbon and Vodka and a hint of paradise. A fun way to start the evening and a better way to end the day. Also, Luis at the Steakhouse is another must visit. Best waiter and experience. The Market food is the only disappointing part.
Our second time to stay at the Hyatt Grand Reserve and it is always a rewarding stay. Next time we’ll choose beachfront rooms which are in buildings #17-20, 2nd floor if with no kids. We had delicious dinner at Prime and at Nectar which were the only dinner restaurants open (not a problem since we only stayed 2 nights and continued our stay in San Juan for a wedding). We didn’t need to rent a car: we took a taxi from the airport which cost $90 with tips and took about 45 minutes.
Food was fabulous , and Franxiany our server was pleasant and helpful. We had the rose garden and crispy fire roll , would recommend both. We enjoyed ourselves , great ambience , worth a visit if staying at the resort.
This was a good resort. Location and beach view great. Restraunts were ok. The steak house and Habachi place were great. Breakfast buffet great. Unable to use others because of private parties. Room service mediocre. Pool great. Rooms on beach view were great.
This had the potential for a great stay. Warm in January, beaches, nice pool. However, the hotel will take you for every penny they can with minimal effort to offer quality service. Lots of extra changes. Difficult to find good food in a reasonable time frame. I’m happy to pay for good service on vacation. Don’t waste your money or effort with this place. Try Mexico or some other Caribbean destination. Completely not worth it.
Would advise staying at some other location. Service is really poor. I would never stay here again. Property is ok but the rest is subpar. and I have stayed at alot of hotels before. I would not stay here again. Suggest going somewhere else.
the hotel and venue are very nice. The main downside is the food was poor all around. Had a hamburger that was very questionable as to the meat source. The support for the meeting was good, and breakfast was fair, edible.
Came with family to celebrate my mom’s 83rd birthday. Outstanding occasion. Will be back. Loved everything about our experience. The food was amazing. Very accommodating with some dietary restrictions of our party. The chef came to the table to explain our options.
This Hyatt is very isolated. There is no place to walk out of the compound. Taxi's very expensive. The food even at the 2 Main Restaurants was not up to par for Hyatts. Several days there were cold and there is no heat in the rooms. Had to call for housekeeping at 4 pm on several days and then didn't get clean towels till 10 pm. I will not go back.
