Good little place to stay, you are put out in the stable which is unique in its self. The room I was on the first floor and there was only one other room up there. The room was large though dark due to the small window. There was no light near the mirror and it was difficult to get ready... More

Booked a twin room this weekend as we were off to Newbury races and to be honest was not expecting much given the bargain price that even included breakfast which I have to say was superb, our room was clean and fresh the beds are really comfy and you even get two bottles of water at the side of each... Had dinner at The Swan. The menu is typical of a 'chain of Pubs' and that is where the similarity ended. The service was good and food served promptly even though it was busy, with many customers. This place is a breath of fresh air when compared to similar establishments.

We stayed at the swan for 3 nights in June 2016 after flying in from Australia. The room was clean and tidy, just a little on the small side. The brekky was Amazing. The service was great, especially in the Bar. A special mention to Libby and Arnie plus all the bar staff who made our saturday night fun and... More

Stayed here as normal choice was full courtesy of Royal Ascot being on. The accommodation is outside the pub in the old stable block, however, beware that this is right outside the car park which the exits onto a busy main road which only means one thing - traffic noise. Of course you can expect the comings and goings but... More

Visited The Swan for birthday drinks and dinner with the family. We all chose various options from the menu (from scampi to burgers to curry) but we were all very happy with our food. Prices are fair for the portion sizes and quality of the food. Service was good and staff friendly. We were actually pleasantly surprised and will probably... More

Visited here for my Hubbies birthday. Stayed in one of the lovely little rooms that are part of a old building next door to main pub. We did not eat in the pub as very very noisy and busy so got a take away but the overall appearance was ok. Room quaint, toilet seat moved when sat on, doors did... More

It was nice to find a restaurant who,s chef could cook a steak properly the food was excellent as was the service. I don't know what the young lad that served us gets paid but it should be more he is a great asset to the business. We will certainly be back.

We used this place as a base for our visit to highclere castle. The room was small but beautifully clean and well equipped. We ate in the pub for our evening meal and was very satisfied with quality quantity and price. The staff need a special mention they were very friendly and nothing too much trouble.

Thank Tony C
