We have been waiting for Vida to open and the wait was worth it! We have spent a fair amount of time on Grand Cayman over the years but have found Seven Mile Beach is just getting too frantic.
Vida is located about 20 minutes from the airport out in West Bay next to Barker's National Park. It's not like a National Park in the US, but it is a large piece of property with lots of activities. Also, Vida is "almost" across the street from Pappagallo's Italian Restaurant.
Vida is brand new construction and appears to have maybe 20-25 rooms, a small health-oriented restaurant and lots of wellness classes. Note, they are not open for dinner yet or have their liquor license, but it appears to only be a few days away. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh, with lots of local flavors.
Although not directly on the beach, it is just a short walk on a path down to the water. The outside area had a sleek pool and hot tub in addition to an area to just lay in about 4" of water. The landscaping just seemed to envelop you with wonderful island charm and of course there’s a hammock.
The staff was incredibly starting at the top with the manger Natalia and right down through everyone on the staff. The room was large with a kitchenette and slider out to a huge balcony. The furniture was sleek and in keeping with the minimalist vibe. We loved the artwork over the bed and in the hotel in general!
A taste of old Cayman, away from it all. I think the attached photo of horses riding past the front of the property speaks to that. The old and the new, relaxing, wellness all combine to make Vida an ideal place to stay!

We were fortunate to have stumbled upon this hotel to celebrate birthdays. We were pleasantly surprised that within a day a booking, Natalie, the hotel manager reached out and was trying to find ways to make our birthday celebrations memorable. As soon as we arrived, I knew we picked the right hotel, because when you walk through the front door you are transported into an oasis. The suites have amazing views of the ocean, are very spacious, and have luxurious furnishing. The hotel is also 10min drive from all the major attractions. We are already planning a trip back next year and I can guarantee we will be staying at Vida Cayman.

Vida is a haven for respite! I was near burnout and booked Vida. From my arrival and being greeted incredibly warmly and given fresh water and an overview of the property to the moment I left for the airport, the personal service and care were top notch from everyone! The property are views are beautiful. The standard for quality, design, sustainability, quietness inside the rooms, and personal touch is high. I had a massage and a reiki session on the balcony of my unit and was glorious.
Of note: In the midst of a cat 4 hurricane barreling toward the island and everyone working to make preparations, care and concern as a guest on the property never wavered. Alternative plans were made to ensure Nourish, the on site farm to table restaurant, precooked meals, adjustments made to still provide the yoga classes, which easily could have been forgone so people could prepare and batten down ahead of the storm. Calls were made to the airport to ensure it would still be open. Complete selflessness in the midst of their own need to prep and manage their own fears of what the storm would bring.

Just returned from a visit to Grand Cayman, and we absolutely loved our stay at Vida Cayman. We had gone back and forth between staying here, and right on Seven Mile Beach due to the convenience, but we are so happy that we went with Vida. The rooms were outstanding. Spotless, well appointed, with everything to make our stay comfortable. Due to the hurricane, we spent more time in our hotel room than we would have liked, but accommodations were so relaxing that we didn't mind. We ate at the hotel for breakfast every morning and loved the healthy selections...honestly one of the best complimentary breakfasts that we have ever had. And they were extremely accommodating of all of our requests.
While it is a little more remote, I would absolutely stay here again as opposed to the much busier Seven Mile Beach. The hotel is a short walk from a very private beach with only a few residences nearby. You can actually keep walking down the beach and eventually find yourself on Barkers Beach in Barkers National Park, which you can also explore with Vida's complimentary bikes. My wife and I increasingly enjoy seclusion, and that is what we found at Vida Cayman. If you want to visit Seven Mile Beach, it's a quick ten-minute drive. The team at Vida told us exactly where to go, knowing we preferred a more secluded spot, and provided us with towels and chairs to take with us. The place they sent us was perfect...on Seven Mile Beach, but not too crowded, with beautiful water.
Above and beyond the hotel and it's surrounding, the staff at Vida really made our stay fantastic. They were BEYOND accommodating. Any request was quickly made, they were extremely helpful in making our trip a success (during a hurricane), and they all felt so genuine, friendly and authentic in all of our interactions with them. We had planned to stay several days here, and then move to Seven Mile Beach, but we stayed at Vida the entire time.
I'm really bad at taking the time to write reviews, but travel a lot, and we can definitely be travel snobs. I can't say enough good about this hotel, and the staff, and would absolutely stay here again the next time we are in Grand Cayman.

From the moment you arrive you feel like the only guest they have or have ever had - nothing is too much trouble.

We are so grateful to our travel agent who found us this gem of a boutique hotel that had opened just a week before our arrival! VIDA provided everything we were looking for on our vacation. Set off the beaten path, we luxuriated in the seclusion of the beaches and quiet neighborhood feel. Our rather large group felt right at home in the gorgeous suite with three bedrooms and private bathrooms. We made the most of the extremely well-appointed kitchen, and the balcony overlooking the water. The gorgeous views and tranquility of the surroundings were the perfect setting for this resort that centers on health and relaxation. The staff were exceptional and so accommodating to our many requests as we navigated our first trip to Grand Cayman, providing local advice and helping us map out our limited time. We appreciate all their hospitality and would love to return!

We stayed at Vida Cayman in a 3 bed apartment to celebrate the birthday of my wife. From start to finish, the staff at Vida Cayman could not have done any more to make her feel incredibly special and to help us to celebrate in the best possible way.
We were welcomed with cold towels and an even colder drink, shown to our room and left alone, safe in the knowledge that the staff were only a WhatsApp message away on the in room mobile phone.
The room was amazing with incredibly comfortable beds and the living space easily accommodated our dinner party for 7. The on site facilities such as the pool and restaurant all enhance the feeling of a home away from home and they could even accommodate a late checkout so that we could enjoy ourselves for even longer.
I can't recommend Vida Cayman enough and I can't wait for my next stay there!

Hands down the best staycation experience I have ever had. Vida is a new hotel located off Barkers park in Grand Cayman. Barkers is a beautiful, unspoiled nature reserve and one of my favourite places on the Island, well off of the usual tourist locations. The Vida experience fits the location perfectly. Built around the ethos of wellness, its is beautiful, tranquil, intimate and your experience can be tailored to include bespoke activities. We did a private yoga session, massage on our balcony, had a bespoke picnic on the beach and a delicious private dinner on their terrace followed by stargazing and I left feeling the most relaxed that I have ever felt. However, the best part were the staff led by the manager Natalia whose attention to detail and personal touch elevated the whole experience.

Vida is by far the best vacation stay we have ever had in our 30 years of vacationing. The place is brand new, spacious suites, amenities are outstanding, carefully crafted. The staff is amazing. You get personalized care second to none. Natalia is always smiling and taking care of your needs. Rebecca is constantly checking in with you on what you need in terms of any trips, food, amenities. The restaurant Nourish attached to the resort has very healthy food options. The beach next to the resort is quiet and stunning for taking a stroll or doing some light-weight snorkeling. We will be back for sure soon. Special thanks to Natalia, Rebecca and the entire Nourish staff, Michelle, Edward and everyone else there. This is a topnotch destination.

My mom and I stayed here for a night to celebrate my baby arriving next month (a babymoon if you will!) Natalia was so incredibly accomodating and kind. She upgraded us to a stunning room and left little gifts, notes, etc. We felt so spoiled and cared for. The intimate setting of Vida made us feel special & was such a boutique experience. Not only were the rooms immaculate, but the amenities like the stunning kitchens with the top of the line appliances made these units even more luxe. We so enjoyed relaxing by the quiet pool and enjoying the delicious breakfast and coffee. Thank you for a wonderful stay - we hope to be back soon! And welcome to the West Bay neighborhood. This hotel is such a seamless blend of 5 star service and the unspoilt nature of West Bay.
