This place is a real find - friendly owners and superb food. We spent 2 nights here in September and could have remained longer. Located not far from the Oban ferry one can walk to both sides of the island - recommend from the Broch to the harbour along the east coast. Good community café just down the road.

Thanks to Naill and Anita for being such welcoming hosts and sharing their lovely historic home with us. Friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining...and the breakfast was excellent. We left our car in Oban and took our bikes on ferry. Wish we could have stayed longer to explore this fascinating island full of ancient and more modern history.

A wonderful place to stay as you feel you're guests of Niall and Anita rather than paying customers in a B&B. My room was excellently equipped with even an electric blanket, the shower was particularly invigorating. Downstairs you share the family lounge with its welcoming log fire and dine at the antique table surrounded by both the family and its...

I have never experienced such a relaxing and welcoming experience in all my travels. Niall and Anita are amazingly welcoming. A place with so much history which Niall and Anita are both well versed. The Bachuil County House, Niall and Anita, is a 'must visit'. I can't wait to have the opportunity to return and visit my new found friends....

This was my first time on Lismore and I found myself in the friendliest place I've been so far on my travels around Scotland. I don't think I ever been made to feel so welcome anywhere I've been before. The rooms were excellent and I might add after Niall explained that one of the beds in my room was bought...

It has to be admitted that we arrived at Bachuil Country House with a certain sense of trepidation. Not only were we going to be living with the Baron and Baroness of Bachuil, Abbot of Lismore and Chief of a Clan MacLea ... it was also to be communal dining, something which has lots of potential for complete disaster. Nothing...

Stayed for 2 nights at this lovely welcoming B and B on the Isle of Lismore. The owners went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Very comfy bed, huge fire in the sitting room in the evenings and wonderful food supplied by Anita. Would strongly recommend Bachuil House for a relaxing away from everything...

Niall and Anita provide a unique and distinct experience - friendly without being overwhelming and a range of stories that could keep you going for years. They are friendly and welcoming hosts and the house itself is beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable (comfiest bed I've slept in in a long time!)

This totally unique B&B offers a wonderful get-away-from-it-all holiday on the beautiful Isle of Lismore which has stunning views of the Isle of Mull and the Scottish mainland. The house itself is a charming period property with all modern conveniences, and Niall and Anita are the most genial and welcoming hosts imaginable, greeting guests upon arrival, hosting hugely entertaining evening...

There appears to be a consistency on the reviews; my wife and I also enjoyed fantastic hospitality from Niall and Anita. We were there for 2 days and experienced a warmness that you simply do not get anywhere else. The evenings were spent eating excellent food and enjoying their conversation, Niall's stories are worth the visit alone. In the morning...
