Having spent the last week here I’d say that the hotel is very clean and comfortable. The beds are comfortable but the general feeling amongst our group was that the pillows were uncomfortable. Room provides a small selection of toiletries and a hairdryer. There isn’t a kettle or a fridge which would have been nice. The food at breakfast and dinner has been faultless.
We haven’t used the sauna or pool so cannot comment on these facilities.
The hotel is about 5 minutes walk to the ski bus stop which runs regularly. Also close to two supermarkets. Not much else in Flachau other than hotels and bars.
It would have been nice when we arrived if the hotel staff gave us a little bit of hotel information. For example there is cake served in the afternoon but we weren’t aware of this or that it was included until day 3 of our stay.
All in all a very nice, family run hotel.
Small and cozy hotel with a family atmosphere.
Year after year we have stayed at this hotel.

I've been ski-ing for over forty years and this hotel served the best food I've ever had on a ski holiday, including a celebratory seven course meal on Christmas Eve. The rooms were warm, spacious and well laid out. There's a lovely sauna with plenty of relaxation space around it and a small but warm outdoor swimming pool. The hotel is a five minute walk to the ski bus stops. The ski-ing is all blue and red slopes, so limited for experienced skiers plus we didn't have a lot of snow, but you can ski a wide area of different bases on the same pass. It was a lovely break and I highly recommend this hotel.
Hotel staff was mixing room types but after that everything was running well. Please note that the smallest room is very small and I really recommend you to take the next size. Spa area and outdoor swimming pool are great. Sauna is large, comfortable "Finnish type" sauna and excellent relaxation after an intensive ski day.
Dinner and breakfast are fine also. Wines are reasonable priced. Bergzeit is a family run hotel and you can see it as a very good and caring service.
Hotel has an excellent shuttle bus service to the main ski lifts so you don´t need own car. There is also a large storage and drying room for skis and shoes. You have walking distance to the Flachaus bars and restaurants.
I recommend this hotel.
My husband & I stayed here in March for 4 nights / 5 days - this hotel was perfect, great location, great staff, great food, great pretty much everything. The hotel has an outdoor pool & sauna / relaxation area which is perfect after a day on the slopes.
Breakfast & dinner was included in the price and well worth it, the breakfast was buffet with cereals, breads, spreads, fruit, omelettes, cheeses, meats, coffees, juices etc.. absolutely delicious. Dinner was a menu that you chose certain dishes from, entree, main & dessert - I was always satisfied with the meals as well they were all presented nicely and tasted amazing as well !
The staff were all friendly and wore the traditional Austrian attire, which really made our stay feel very Austrian & traditional. The hotel itself was amazing, we are just so happy we booked here everything about it was brilliant. The bed was comfortable, the room very spacious, the bathroom clean & had all the needed items shampoo, body wash etc... fresh towels everyday etc !!
We will definitely stay here again ! Thank you again for a lovely stay !
