Superb !!!, Very good service, Good staff, Awesome food, Clean Pool, Good room service, friendly staff, good ambience, Nice restaurant and buffet. Thanks to OYO rooms, provided complimentary breakfast..
We a group of friends with family stayed couple of days here , we all got together for a wedding of a friend at Kottayam.
Never book here
Very good location
Big rooms and bathrooms
Lake view from most of the rooms.
Negatives ,way too much
Pathetic room service, no one pics the call first of all , if at all some one pics the service shall come after hours ,with multiple reminders and going and telling to the reception...
No tea from 4 to 6 in the evening , never been a hotel in my life where you won't get tea in tea time , we ordered tea exactly at 6 and tea came at 7.15..
Break fast given complementary , avoid it.. its horrible
No juice, no fruits , no nothing..long queues and not enough food for all to eat ...very dirty cups and plates also. If they pay you for eating their breakfast still don't eat. We didn't try lunch and dinner there as many toddy shops near by where you will get great Kerala style food , fish items like karimeen and all.
Rooms are maintained badly , couple of rooms the lock was not working , and in one room ac was not working.
The receptionist was a nice guy , and he told he is helpless and someone else is running the show.
The pool maintenance guy and security staffs also a good and well behaved.
By the way pool is good on the lake side and decent also.
I would classify this as a budget hotel even though it is classified as a 3 star hotel and resort. The rooms are spacious but the arrangement in the room that we stayed in was very weird. There was a little rectangular space outside the bathroom area where a cupboard and a gym-style bench was placed. In front of it was the TV which didn't have any channels we could understand. It was placed precariously and would probably fall if someone accidentally banged into it. There was a balcony which was overlooking the back-waters. My only concern here was that anyone could have entered the room through the balcony - the fact that the door to the balcony wasn't locking made me carry my valuables with me wherever we went in the resort. The breakfast spread was the poorest I've seen in a while! There was Appam and Upama, sambhar, chutney and some sad pieces of bread with choice of jam and butter. I expected more. Also the appam was tasting sour, meaning the batter was old. This sad situation could be because there weren't too many people in the resort but this is unacceptable. All in all it's an okay hotel - as long as you don't have great expectations.
It is in a superior location, especially if your room faces the water. The staff seemed incapable of being helpful, for whatever reason. No hot water. There are few options avialvle for food, except their restaurant, which is quite disappointing
I was in this hotel Manor Kumarakom...it's not a luxury hotel a budget one but quite good...may be an old hotel ..though refreshing,if u take the water front room. But its located in a very interior area. What amused me was the whole night never did I feel that I was the only guest that day n night, the management lit up the whole resort as if the whole Resort was occupied. This one thing was made me feel good. The pool is maintained and the restaurant food was good, the guys prepared food as per our requirement.
