I found this casa thanks to the suggestion of my casa owner in Santiago. Great value for little money! The room is huge (sleeps 3 people), with wooden panels, 2 terraces with view of the marina, very short walk from the bus station and about 5 min walk from the city center. Clean, very quiet (rare in Cuba), with a friendly and helpful owner. Did not eat there, but was told by other guests it was good.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Casa la marina in May earlier this year. The breakfast with the hot chocolate and plentiful food was by far the best we had in the whole of cuba! The room was comfortable and the best thing was the excusions we took with our driver Octavio organised by the casa. Without a doubt i would stay here again next time i'm in cuba.

We rented the studio appartment. It was well equiped. The casa is located just round the corner from the bus station and convenient for the beach. It is about ten minutes walk from the centre. We could not fault the place. Friendly owners. We stayed for eight days.
They have second room but that is not so good.

I was welcomed by the English speaking son of the land lords and settled in very quickly in a nice room with two double beds. My bicycle was also accommodated so I did not have to leave it in the street.
The A/C worked like a charm and the bath room was new and I did not have to share it with others. The electric water heater was out of order but showering in lukewarm water was OK. Washing of clothes was hard though!
The breakfast was ample with cold juice, coffee with heated milk, fresh omelet and bread with either cheese or marmalade. I was asked what to have for supper and got some very tasty fish dishes.
The land lords spoke only Spanish but I was proudly able to use my somewhat rusty Spanish to good effect.
