Myself and my partner decided to celebrate our anniversary and take a well overdue holiday with our 8 month old daughter.
The staff couldn’t have been any more friendly or helpful.
The bar staff were happy to suggest nice walks we could do with the little one, something were extremely grateful for, as we didn’t want to be too adventurous.
There was a great choice of food available, from traditional Greek items, as well as more British food items. Which my partner and little one thoroughly enjoyed.
Our room was clean, and well presented. With a view from the balcony I could not fault. Watching the sunset with my partner is definitely something neither of us will forget any time soon.
The pool was immaculate. Clean and clear and always inviting.
Overall the perfect holiday, with the people I love. In an amazing hotel with the best staff. We cannot wait to come back again next year!
We returned from a fabulous week away at the Smartline Mimosa. We had a bedroom with a balcony with a lovely sea view and also where we could watch the sunset. The apartment was amazing, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and the pool facilities were excellent. We never had any problem getting sun-beds throughout the day. The hotel is 20 seconds walk to the beach which was perfect for us!
We went half board and would do this again as the restaurant is fantastic!
There is a small cove approximately 10 mins walk away where you can go snorkelling and swimming. it was very beautiful, but would recommend going early as it does get very busy.
You can also walk to canal d amour approx. 10 - 15 mins away where you can have a drink and watch the sunset. Drinks were quite expensive there so the next time we went, we walked a little further and sat on the rocks with our own drinks to watch the beautiful sunset.
We had booked our holiday through Thomas Cook and whilst this was a very sad event and we feel for all the staff losing their jobs and the hotel staff, we must say that our Thomas Cook rep all the Smartline Mimosa staff were very helpful under the circumstances and not once did we feel that we were going to be moved or asked for extra money. There is no telling what the future holds for this hotel, the staff, local businesses etc but I hope they can all recover quickly as Smartline Mimosa is 5* and Sidari is a lovely resort, stunning and certainly a place we will return to in the future.
Stayed here for a week in September. Room was ok, shower is small...can only just move around in it. Always leaked. Good location over the road from the beach, right by restaurants and shops. All selling the same items.
Food at breakfast was terrible...bacon was tasteless the fried eggs were hard and like rubber. Only ate the cornflakes and toast & butter until they ran out of butter. Then it was just like Flora. Food on the night was bad 😳 everything looked over cooked and not very nice. The sweet section was just water melon and one choice of cake oh and ice cream. How people can say the food is fabulous I don’t know 🤷🏻♀️
We ate out every night.
Pool area was unkept lots of weeds and flowers left to die. Worse place we have stayed at. Rooms were kept clean & beds changed and clean towels every day.
Some staff were lovely 😊 others were rude.
Just left the mimosa after a weeks stay. We were there when the Thomas Cook collapse happened. The owners had been up all night putting up notices and sorting things out so when we came down in the morning we had no questions it was all up via notices which made the situation clear. They said for the rest if the stay no ones holiday will alter, they can stay in the hotel and will be fed and entertained as we booked. Could not ask for better treatment in that situation. Made the rest of our stay relaxed.
The room was adequate for the amount of time spent in there, we were beside building works but we were out of the room most of the day so we weren’t affected by the noise at all. The only negatives about the room were the shower cubicle was very small, and where the wardrobe was behind the door, there was no light so it was often too dark to see what you were getting out to wear. The bed was a bit hard for me however housekeeping added layers to it which made it softer for my back. The housekeeping team were lovely and friendly too. Nothing is too much trouble. There are 2 pools in the complex, we stayed at the back pool for sunbathing as it was quieter and George the barman round there was really friendly and helpful. The front pool we went and sat round in an evening, the bar there was run by Andreas, he seemed to have good and bad days where sometimes he was happy and others stressed. One night I accidentally asked for the wrong cocktail as I waited a while and he actually started shouting at me and having a real ho at me, I was actually in tears and it ruined my evening. The cocktail was dire too. He needs cocktail training as he also made my pina colada the night before with no Malibu so it was harsh and I left it. The food in the hotel I found to be fabulous, the breakfast was a big selection of cooked items and cold items, cereals and salads and bread ect. The hot drinks at breakfast are the only drinks that are free do we had several coffees each morning. The dinner service was also varied in choice and delicious. There was always simple foods, chips, fish fingers, chicken nuggets ect, but also varied meat and fish dishes, potatoes, rice and pasta dishes. Lots of salad options too. The only downside for me was pudding, there was a cake if the day then always melon or ice cream. Being someone who can’t eat fruit and is lactose intolerant i would of liked more options. But that’s my only niggle. Also when the hotel was fuller st the beginning of our stay (pre TC collapse) they did run out of mugs and cutlery unless you got there early. We had lunch at the hotel a few times, and actually was much better in price and quality than some restaurants we went to. Your not allowed to bring any of your own food and drinks round the pool areas but the bar is open morning till night at the front and 10-4 at the back so not an issue. The staff around the complex are all so friendly and reception can’t do enough to help if needed. Everyone has a smile and makes you feel at ease. There was entertainment in the evenings but we only went to one night, we like quiet evenings so we either went out or up to our room. I think it’s hard for the entertainment when there are so few guests, but there was something on every night. There is also a library where you can borrow books, we left 3 we finished with which was a great idea, lots of people were borrowing and replacing I noticed. The grounds were clean and tidy and there were always places to sit and relax. All in all it was a lovely visit and we would def book here again.
My partner and I went to Corfu and stayed at the Smartline Mimosa on a Thomas Cook package in July 2019. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The rooms come with air-con and a lockable fridge with balcony. The two swimming pools are a great way to cool off with lots of sunbeds for relaxing with an amazing bar staff. The hotel is across the road from the beach. The staff were wonderful, Colin made us feel very welcome and relaxed with some wonderful entertainment, the lovely receptionist and hotel management staff always cheerful. The locals are very nice and really appreciate it if you try to speak a little greek, however, if you cant then don't worry. After an amazing week away on the way to there airport, I realised I had left my phone by the pool. The staff were lovely and looked after my phone until posting. If your thinking of going to Corfu, this hotel is lovely little place at a good price would definitely go back again.
