We stayed 4 nights as part of a Watercolour-painting course, this is a peaceful hotel in the countryside, convenient location for visiting Florence, Lucca, etc.. It's run by a 3-generation family, friendly welcome and warm hospitality. Terrasse with lovely view and large ground with swimming-pool. Our room was on the 2nd floor, large, clean, nice and comfortable, space for clothes, safebox, small fridge. Large and clean bathroom. WIFI worked perfectly. Good parking places. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choices, to be enjoyed inside or on the terrace. Excellent restaurant 'Serendipico' next door. We would love to return.
A wonderful place to escape to. Relaxed and informal, a warm welcome awaits. The converted farm house provides the perfect Tuscan escape. Our room was spacious with a large comfortable bed and wonderful views, the air conditioning and fridge worked perfectly. Breakfast was tasty although the pastries very similar each day. Sat outside under the vines was a perfect way to start the day. Whilst no lunch is provided and is only available some days at the restaurant next door if you want to fix your own, no one seems to worry, they even offered the key to the boathouse so that one group could sit beside the lake and eat their own food one evening. Honesty bar works well, beer was very good value, local wines (from 100 metres away) were okay but have had better. Restaurants next door and just up the road both worth visiting (see my other reviews).
The pool is clean, there are plenty of sunbeds for all the guests and the views are wonderful.
Excellent value.
Thank you for a 6 wonderful nights.
This is a marvellous typical Italian agrarian building, renewed with high quality standard. I had a weekend with my boyfriend and we had the SPA room. The room was really nice, with a relaxing view. We were welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine and fresh fruits, and one day we could also choose to have our breakfast served in the room for free. The SPA was little, but there were all the basic: jacuzzi and sauna. We were not sure if the water was changed before our arrival (we hope so! and hope it was changed after our departure, of course). The SPA was little, but there were all the basic: jacuzzi and sauna. We were not sure if the water was changed before our arrival (we hope so! and hope it was changed after our departure, of course). BUT: the staff, even if kind, was a bit in a hurry when serving our breakfast, and breakfast itself could definitely be improved with fresh milk instead of the poor-tasting UHT; the shower of the SPA room is not working properly; despite the air conditioner, there is too much humidity and chlorine in the entire room and you cannot breath well in the night (especially if suffering for asthma).
Ps. Really really really Exceptional restaurant (owned by a couple of young, talented italian and japanese guys!)
Just perfect. The room was behind a flourishing vine and the view from the room was perfect. the place has a pool, a small lake with ducks and a restaurant. It has vast place to run around for the children.
Hosts were really friendly and helped us with our plans. The bingo of our trip. Really miss it.
We found the B&B quite easily with the help of a Sat Nav. This is a lovely old farmhouse that has been restored to a very good standard in a delightful location with a lake in the grounds. We had one of the superior rooms that were on the top floor. The bed was extreemly comfortable. Unfortunately, when we arrived the temperature was much hotter than usual and the air conditioning wasn't coping very well. Elisa and her family were very concerned as they could see we were very hot and offered to move us to a lower room after the weekend. However, the next day they fitted a ceiling fan over the bed which made all the difference - this is the level of service and care that they give at this B&B. The swimming pool is lovely with comfortable sunloungers and gazebo's for shade. A lovely continental buffet breakfast with a good selection of ham, cheese, eggs, pastries, cakes and proper fruit juices (which is unusual in Italy) is available to eat in the garden under the shade of a vine covered pergola. I would recomend this B&B to anyone and will definately go there again. There is an independant restaurant in another part of the farmhouse for lunch and dinner and an alternative about 350 metres away.
