Where do I start with this one?...Booked on a 3rd party site as "airport hotel", well it is fairly close to the airport. To get there, do not even think about trying to use public transportation. We took the S8 and got off in Halbergmoos, then took the 628(I think)bus to a stop in "town"...still could not figure out which direction to hotel...without the help of friendly locals and a van driver by the bus stop we could still be walking around in the business park. Just take a taxi from the airport and back.
The property is brand new and has beautiful rooms...but again, a mixed bag. There are just so many little things...no phone in the rooms, therefore no wake up call. Very heavy doors through hallways which close with a bang. Would not want to be in a room next to those doors. I tried to close the door gently just because of this. Shower is a big beautiful tiled one but kind of difficult to figure out how to operate. Oh, and one nightstand on one side of the bed. Just found that weird.
Front desk and waitstaff friendly and helpful. Like previous reviews pretty limited menu, but good food.
It is in Business Park area so nothing to really walk to from property. Again, just take taxi for everything.
We only stayed for 1 night, but from the moment we checked in to when we left the service was excellent. The room was fairly large and tastefully designed. Top marks for cleanliness and level of comfort. Breakfast was slightly disappointing though. For €18 we expected to have more warm options - half of the buffet table was taken up by juices and a large selection of teas. The staff were refilling scrambled eggs and bacon every 3 minutes it felt.
Very nice hotel since it is brand new. Great rooms with nice design and beds.
It is stated that the hotel has airport transportation but they do not. They referred us to Uber.
Close to the airport.
We ate at the restaurant but they only had a few choices. It was expensive and not that good.
Stayed here for one night prior to flying out of Munich airport.
If travelling from Munich city centre by S Bahn, alight at Hallbergmoos. Uber is €9 from here. From the airport it is €13. Not a great money saver, but quicker and closer.
The hotel is situated on a business estate. It is one of three or four on this estate (Ibis, Movenpick). The estate is quiet in the evening (virtually vehicular traffic free), but at the same time, there is no entertainment, restaurants, bars within walking distance.
The hotel is new, is immaculately kept and is extremely clean.
The lobby is spotless and is spacious, leading to the bar area and through to the restaurant.
Staff in all areas (reception, restaurant) are very friendly and helpful.
The room was excellent; spacious, modern, immaculately clean and had masses of hanging space.
I liked the dual door in the bathroom, that separated the en-suite from the bedroom, and separated the toilet from the shower/basin area.
I didn’t like that the shower was not fully enclosed, and this resulted in flooding the tiled floor in both the main bathroom and toilet. It is entirely tiled, so easy to mop, but using the bathroom after the shower necessitates no socks, or wearing outdoor footwear.
The room also needed better tea/coffee facilities, the choice of ‘hippy’ tea was good, it lacked English Breakfast tea and any coffee at all.
The use of big shampoo and shower gel bottles is environmentally friendly, but they are not screwed to the wall and you cannot be certain of content.
We ate dinner in the restaurant, good, prompt service from a pretty limited menu. The food was good and fulfilling.
We also ate breakfast, which was very nice and enough choice offered.
We didn’t use the spa facilities, or the car park, so are unable to comment.
The lift, as you would expect in a new hotel, was quick and spacious.
I liked this hotel very much. If you want choices of restaurants and bars, it’s not for you. However the clue is in the name:- It’s on a business estate, caters for businessmen and women and is ideal for the airport. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
Let me start off with the bad stuff before I write down the good ones. As a pilot I'm staying in a lot of hotels per year but this hotel was probably the worst night I've had in 5 years. The outside air temprature was 26 degrees today and when I arrived in my room I started sweating directly I have put the airconditioning system to 18 degrees in the hope to cool down the room. Went to the bar and about 1 hour later the room was still the same temprature. HOT LIKE HELL. My watch with thermometer measured 28 degrees and is quite precise. After 3 hours in bed I decided it was enough and went down to the reception at around 3am. I am from the Netherlands and understand some german but as its not my mother tongue I had some problems making myself understandable to the guy sitting at the reception. He was unable to speak in English wich is unacceptable for a bussiness hotel. So for me this was a horror night. Opening the windows doesnt help because it was not windy. There is also no shuttle between the hotel and the Airport. One more strange thing is they call themself business hotel, why didnt they put a normal Desk in the rooms?
Now I've writen all the negative I'll also write the positive: The rooms do look clean and the bathroom is quite good. The shower is a rainshower big plus. As the hotel is brand new the rooms are medium size. The Bar/restaurant downstairs was good, trained personal makes great cocktails.
Its unfortunate that it was like this. Even if the night would have been for FREE it wouldnt have been acceptable.
