We stayed overnight at Hari Priya Residency on 19th/20th September 2017. We found it to be a very "homely" place and felt very much at home.....unlike staying in a hotel room. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained. The entire place is kept very clean.....including the wash-rooms. It is reasonably priced and is definitely a very decent place to stay in.

We (myself & my aged parents) visited Gokarna for religious reasons. After going thru several reviews at tripadvisor, I decided to stay at Hari Priya Residency (HPR).

We reached HPR hotel at Gokarna at late night 11:30 PM due to bad weather and terrible roads & airlines misplaced my baggage at Mangalore airport.
At the late night, we were offered hot coffee up on arrival.

Hari Priya Residency is a home away from home. We never felt we are living in a hotel.
Outstanding courtesy by Mr. & Mrs. Ananad.

Mr. & Mrs Ananad arranged Taxi service during for our entire trip to Dakshina Karnataka (from August 8th to August 13th). To tour within Gokarna they arranged a nice AutoRiksha.

The rooms are not very big but adequate for two people to stay. No TV, No hot water in bath room. Hot water will be given for bathing when requested. Any time you ask you will be offered hot coffee & tea with biscuits.

If you are traveling with your family & if you want to stay in a budget hotel with very decent facilities , Hari Priya Residency is the place to stay.

Please be warned that this is not the place where you can go and booze and do any other illegal acts. If you commit such things you will receive a tight kick in your rear end.

We have stayed at HPR from August 8th to August 10th (two rooms) and payed very reasonable amount including coffee & tea charges. I bet you this is the best of best deal.

I am very thankful for the reviews at tripadvisor regarding this hotel.

Going forward, we will stay again at HPR during our next visit to Gokarna.

I highly recommend HPR for any families visiting Gokarna.

Thanks to Mr & Mrs Anand for taking care of us so well. Appreciate there kindness and help.

I will keep it short.
Pros:
1. Clean rooms.
2. Friendly hosts.
3. Appropriate location of the hotel.
4. Pleasant area.
5. Very less rents.
6. Balcony(for 3 rooms).
Cons:
1. Food isn't available with them, you should go around.
2. Hot water should be collected outside the room in buckets.

But considering the price you pay, one must definitely choose this hotel over others if you just want to stay a night or two.

I received the warmest of welcomes from the couple who run this lovely place. There's no A/C, hot water or wifi but the Hari Priya makes up for it by being clean and comfortable with a very chilled-out feeling to it.
My room was a good size and had a balcony and an en-suite shower room.

5 of us went to Ggokarna in the month of May 2011. Initially we were a bit apprehensive about the thought of homestay as we never stayed in a homesaty before..But this was a really pleasant stay for all of us. In a small town like gokarna i wasnt expecting a good room to stay. Haripriya was a great place to stay and very much affordable. We paid 400/- per room per day.
Mr. Anand was a very good host. We reached Gokarna at 1:30am .He was sweet enough to guide us through the route at that time and help us carry our luggage to the room. We really like their hospitality and would always prefer to stay there.

The only thing missing was an A/C which is a must if you visit the place in the summer.
