We stayed at Rod and Caroline's Villa in Bagni the Lucca in March. Rod came to pick us from the train station. There are some steps to go up to the villa but once you are inside you are instantly rewarded with awesome views of the valley and river. The Cioccolato room was superb, both in decor and cleanliness. They were so thoughtful as to welcome us with a bottle of champagne in our room, as it was our anniversary. The warm deserts that Caroline prepares for breakfast are varied and very tasteful as is the rest of breakfast that is included inthe price. There are some nice treks in and around bagni the lucca that make for a lovely day out in the countryside. Would not hesitate to recommend Villa Rosalena to anyone who is looking for a good base to explore the Tuscan countryside. Definately good value for money.

When we arrived at Villa Rosalena Rod and Caroline give us a warm welcome. The rooms are well furnished and very comfortable with the the most amazing views. The sitting area, dining area and bedrooms are all on the one floor. Refreshments are available at all times. Carolines cooking is superb. Rod and Caroline's knowledge of the local area is outstanding and made our holiday very enjoyable. Pisa airport is only one hours drive away.
Over all it is a first class Villa and I will highly recommend it to all my friends and family. We wish every success to Rod and Caroline. We will definately be returning to this charming Villa very soon.

We were recommended to stay at Villa Rosalena as we were attending a wedding 10 min away from there. Rod was very welcoming and was able to grant our early checkin request. Rod went our of his way to ensure our stay was perfect and we must say, it was perfect. We had a gorgeous, spacious and extremely clean room with a lovely view.

The breakfast was perfect with a lot of variety and Rod even had gluten free bread available as I mentioned I was gluten intolerant. I was happy to just eat fruit and there were so many options I could have like, prosciutto, cheese, yoghurt and my partner and sister had tarts, cereals, croissants, juices, coffee, tea.

The wifi was strong to assist us with our next set of travel plans and Rod had provided us with local information and maps. He even had a brochure made for a walk through Bagni di Lucca which we did first thing in the morning, it was beautiful.

Thank you again for your hospitality Rod. We highly recommend you to all.

Rod and Caroline are the perfect hosts. They genuinely care about their guests. Our stay at Villa Rosalena was the high point of our 17 day Tuscany adventure.
Our needs were met beyond our expectations, the food was truly excellent, and our "room with a view" spectacular.
What more can I say!

We stayed here 3 nights and everything was perfect. The owners were very kind and helpful giving us many different tips for things to do in the surroundings. The three breakfasts were amazing and delicious. The view was beautiful just what we wanted for our stay in Toscany. And the room and bathroom were very nice, spacious and clean.
