Surf Paradise Hotel, great location at Yaque (one of the best water extreme sports beach in the world).
The staff is very friendly and they will make sure you have a pleasant stay. The rooms are very comfortable and renewed with breakfast included (very small portion). Otherwise, the Hotel Restaurant serves very good food (can be a little expensive but it's worth it).
If you are adventurous person, this is the place to stay, just a few steps from the hotel you have a beautiful beach and a place to rent water sports equipment (wind and kite surf).
The Hotel have a small pool just to chill out with a cocktail/beer and relax with the ocean view.
Surf Paradise is perfect for couples or big families, so don't miss this place!
This place really needs to be renewed. For a quick stay or just to spend the whole day at the beach. It's ok overall but lacks of hot water and WiFi and fails in details. Open outlets on the wall, dirty sheets (unchanged), toilet and shower a little dirty (hairs). The breakfast was awful, really poor, small. The restaurant on the other hand has a great service, friendly staff and great food, all fresh and delicious. Outstanding chef. The beach is nice but the hotel pool is always dirty and salty?!...
Hotel rooms are quite basic but who goes to Margarita to sit in a hotel room? I gave it 4 stars because of a beautiful surrounding, nice deck with a view of the sea, nice breakfast on the same, which just makes your day, swimming pool good for kids and 30 sec distance to the beach, 3 surf- equipment rentals within 15 sec reach. Perfect for windsurf and kite. Restaurant is expensive but a lot of other places within 5 min check-out ( I strongly recommend The sharks - I think the last one on the beach, left from the hotel).
The sleep would be good if not for a very thin door in our room dividnig other room and guests from us. Beware, cause the neighbours know exactly what you are doing... ;-)Not sure if that's the case in all the rooms.
Nevertheless, I loved the stay. Nice break from totally commercialized world of big hotel chains, with little inconviniences but in a beautiful place like this, who cares? My 4 year old, also loved it..
The hotel is small but nice. The restaurant is good but expensive.. Perfect for windsurf and kite surfing. But also to enjoy the beach and even take a day trip to Coche island. The junior suite was very nice and clean with a beautiful view and a small kitchen ( convenient as the restaurant is too expensive for the food being served). The small swimming pool does the trick. The deck is just beautiful. However, I found all the services way too expensive for he simplicity of the place including the bar. Just walk around the beach to find better prices for food and beverages.
We have spend a week in the Surf Paradise as it is very well located for windsurfing and kite surfing. We were in a Junior Suite very close to the swimming pool which was very convenient as our baby could enjoy playing in the deck area and the swimming pool. The hotel is very basic, with nice staff but very bad service. Good location and amazing views from the deck. However, it is extremely overpriced, the breakfast is very poor. With small efforts (cleanness, service, decoration and better breakfast) it could have been a very enjoyable hotel.
