The hotel was a convenient one night stop close to the motorway, room was ok but the restaurant manager was very rude when I picked up a menu and really spoilt my evening. In general there wasn't a very good atmosphere.
Pleasant hotel with clean and comfortable room. Very good shower and free WiFi. Restaurant was good for evening meal and breakfast buffet decent too. The staff in the evening were pleasant and efficient but the place was let down by the surly rude and unpleasant young man on duty in the morning.
Used as a stop over on our way to south of France. Easily found the place just off the motorway system and initially the location looks a little remote, away from the town it doesn't matter as all is provided.
The hotel is a modern box but we had a spotlessly clean room and en-suite with plenty of towels and pillows! Could do with a kettle - but we had our own! Bar and dining area pleasant enough but my wife's steak was on the tough side and our French isn't good enough to complain. Shame. Outdoor and covered swimming pool.
I noticed an earlier comment re. paying the l'addition. Our trip was prepaid via a third party and when we checked out to pay for drinks and evening meal they almost made the mistake of adding on the overnight charge so be careful.
Would I go again if we were in the area...Yes.
We checked in on a Sunday evening quite late as although I live only 5 miles away on arrival at my house there was a hornets' nest by the door and the residents were intent on having me for supper, hence the overnight stay. We travel with our pet labrador and although there was a supplement of 9 Euros it was worth it. Reception on arrival was very friendly and check in was smooth and fast. Room was clean on the second floor and a good selection of French channels on the TV. Wireless internet was free. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and there was a reasonable selection although we opted just for pizzas, beer and a carafe of wine after a long journey down from Calais. Mostly French in the restaurant and the dog was welcome to sit with us while we ate. The hotel is on the outskirts of town and has an outdoor swimming pool and tennis court but in all the times I have been past the hotel I have never seen either in use. We didn't take breakfast as there are lots of good boulangeries and cafes in La Souterraine where you can grab a bite for a lot less money. Check out wasn't quite as amiable as check in. All in all a good place to stop over and probably 6 or 6.5 hours from Calais.
Used this as a stopover coming back through France to Dieppe. On a small industrial estate on the outskirts of town there is nothing around it. Picture makes it look better than it is but if you want a quiet night you've got it.
Had a quad room as a twin as most twins in Inter Hotels are on the small side but at 88€ a fair price for a decent sized room. Evening meal was a bit bland and not very nice but was edible, service was excellent and prices very good. Breakfast was an average French set up. 159€ for two with dinner and a couple of drinks was good but when I got home checked my Credit Card bill only to find I had been charged £260 (350€). Sent an email to the hotel and to SEH hotels. Had a reply back from the hotel to say they had made a mistake which they did not see until after we had left (or was that until my email arrived ?). As yet SEH have only sent an acknowledgement to my email but no explanation.
