We just completed a short but very enjoyable stay at the hotel. We were traveling with small children and needed several rooms. The hotel was very accommodating in arranging adjoining rooms and (as a Globalist member) even upgraded our main room to the Presidential Suite! The rooms were clean, comfortable and very quiet (we didn't hear any noise from the hallway or any neighboring rooms). We would certainly love to return to the hotel the next time we're in the area.

The entire building was immaculate. I didn't notice a thing out of place or spec of dust.
Some guests smoke too much weed which come into my room so I'm guess the ventiliation somehow circulates through. Although I felt the ventilation was very good and powerful inside the room.

No services available including room service unless you ask for it. Only 1 chair at the table in the room. As we ate in, one of us had to eat on the bed due to only one chair inside the room at a table. No vending available at the hotel. As this is a questionable side of Philly, one really should not wander outside the room at night to get a snack or whatever! For an upscale hotel, it was a very strange place to stay. They did not automatically offer new towels or shampoo, soap, etc past the first day. Hyatt's name should be removed from this hotel as it is an embarrassment to their name!

Thanks for your feedback. We wish these concerns were brought to our attention as to rectify immediately. We apologize you felt unsafe, as we are located in Philadelphia's Center City with 24 security. Our dining options are limited while we are in a pandemic, but we hope to have more options in the near future!

From the moment we pulled in to this wonderful Hyatt we were greeted by James and John at the front desk. They were extremely professional polite knowledgeable and very kind. They gave us restaurant suggestions because we asked. John suggested steak 48 so glad he did it was fantastic I recommend it highly. Breakfast from upstairs was wonderful and came in a timely fashion. The presidential suite was to die for . Added to our wonderful stay here . Everything was clean And well-maintained. From the grand main entrance to the front desk very inviting I suggest this hotel highly

This Hotel is Elegant, None of That ""Boutique Hotel B.S.," The Hotel is Quiet and You Don't Hear Voices From The Next Room. Prior to The Pandemic There Was a Large Food Court and Many Stores With Great Shopping! Let's Hope That Those Stores RETURN!! You'll Enjoy Your Stay!

Questions & answers about the rooms

Lackluster was the word I'd use for the renovations. Just very empty and bland and lacking in warmth or detail. Felt empty and lacking in energy, needed more furniture or a plant or color in the room something to make it feel less like a sanatorium!

while the room was very nice, it was a bit dated. I liked having the old home antique feel and really liked my room. If they are updating them, then they would be even better...because the way it is now, the rooms are very comfortable.

I did not have a suite but the rooms on the 14th floor are still old and large. Soon they will be gone... Renovated to make more rooms which will be smaller and more modern !

What room should I ask for if trying to view fireworks on the 4th of July?
Answer from Crystal R
May 2015 |
Our hotel is located in the best spot in Philadelphia just minutes away from all the attractions. Although, we don't have the perfect room location to see fireworks, we are in walking distance from the fireworks display at the Philadelphia Museum of Art on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The week-long celebration of the 4th of July in Philadelphia is always a reason to stay over. I hope this information helped you and that you can make Hyatt at The Bellevue your home away from home. Please reach out to us with any other questions. Warm regards, CR
