I have had the wonderful pleasure to travel the world. From Australia to Asia and many points in between, and stayed in more hotels (for work and leisure) than I could possible count. I am a firm believer of Trip Advisor and because I heed the reviews, I do my part to post them. I am posting this so that Staybridge gets more visibility. You earned it. My wife and I are regular middle class people. While we like high class accommodations, it is usually not within our price range. So, we just need something clean and decent. But, this place exceeded that to highest order. It could be categorized as high end. The hotel is new. Everything is tastefully decorated and clean. The room was large and modern. Stainless steel appliances. Hugh television and bed. This is not a hotel room but a studio apartment. And further more, great hot breakfast included. Close to train station so no need to drive into Boston (and, did I mention free parking). I was so impressed on every level. Our next time to Boston, we will not be looking elsewhere. This is where we will be staying. Great job and great service!
Made reservations for suite with 2 beds and sofa sleeper. They did not have this type room. They only have king suites. 1 king bed and sofa sleeper. Ended up at Holiday Inn with 2 beds in same building. Website should be corrected.
I found this hotel by doing a lot of googling, looking for a good area, and the two things I really like: free parking and free breakfast. I also look at TripAdvisor reviews. In this case, there were no TripAdvisor reviews because the hotel was that new.
We were not disappointed. I stayed with my daughter for two nights. We were looking for something not downtown, but yet close enough so that it wasn't a chore to get to the Opera House, where we had tickets to see Dear Evan Hansen. The area was good. The hotel was brand new. Free parking, free breakfast, what's not to like?
We were greeted at check-in by Isais, who was very friendly and welcoming. He explained everything very well. I really liked that there were many books in the large lobby area, which is a nice change from a typical hotel and good to encourage people to get away from their electronics.
The lobby and rooms had modern, contemporary decor. Each unit has a full size kitchen. Full size refrigerator, two burner stove, sink, small dishwasher, ceramic plates and stainless flatware. There's a Keurig with K-cups, which was another perfect amenity. Bathroom was well sized with J.R. Watkins natural soaps and shampoo. Beds were great, TV was a large screen wall-mounted so we could swivel it any way. On our floor was a guest laundry and ice machines. I really appreciate when hotels have a guest laundry.
The subway was a five minute walk from the hotel. It was five subway stops to downtown, to the Boston Opera House. We left our car in the hotel parking lot for our stay. Last time I visited Boston, we were right in the heart of downtown and paid $45 per night for parking, which, after four nights, really added up. Free parking was definitely important to me, this time.
There's a 99 restaurant just a two minute walk from the hotel, where we got dinner both nights and ate in the room.
Breakfast had a lot of offerings, hot and cold. There was an automatic pancake maker, which you just had to press a button and two hot pancakes would pop out two minutes later. In addition, there was a waffle maker, plus hot eggs and bacon, oatmeal, breads, fruit, cereal.
We liked this hotel so much that I found myself googling other Staybridge Suites for locations. I like the full kitchen, the large bathroom, the great breakfast, and the books.
This hotel located in a great spot right outside of Boston. I will stay in this hotel every time we visit Boston, now.
We stayed in this newly opened hotel during our visit to Boston. The room was equipped with a kitchenette with large fridge. The hotel facilities were very fresh and the room nice. Breakfast was excellent. The walk to the train station for the ride to Boston was 5 min. Service was good
