Spent three nights at this property while in Richland on state business. This is one of the nicest hotels in Washington state. The rooms are large and well appointed and if my room is typical they all include a separate living area along with a very large bedroom and a nice bathroom. The hotel lobby is absolutely gorgeous and the complementary morning breakfast one of the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. These folks were willing to give us government rates as we were on government business so our rooms were not on the river side. Those rooms have a magnificent view of the Columbia River. There is a swimming pool, fitness center, an area on every floor to sit and relax and I’m sure there’s more that I didn’t even discover during my stay. And the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There’s even loaner bikes and a great trail network just feet away. I did a 14 mile bike ride while I was there - most of it along the Columbia River. And the location is just minutes away from downtown Richland. If you find yourself in the Tri-Cities this is the place to stay.
We were very impressed with this hotel. It was a perfect location, enabling us to have lovely walks along the riverside. The design of the hotel we felt was impressive and the rooms were really lovely, very comfortable and clean. Exceptional breakfast. We had a maintenance problem which was dealt with, with courtesy and care. We were grateful for the attention that was given. Our only gripe was the quality of the receptionists who we felt were not up to the job and let such a good hotel down. Every other hotel we stayed in we were told on check-in about all the facilities, where and when breakfast, location of pool, gym etc., if they have a laundry, all those things you need to know. We were told nothing. On the third day, when we had the maintenance problem, we reported it to the girl on the desk. Clearly she didn't tell the maintenance guy, as we mentioned it to him on our return that afternoon and he knew nothing about it. He immediately went to try to sort it out. His name was David and he was excellent.
Scenery is gorgeous, rooms are perfect, staff is friendly. I could have spent all day staring at the Columbia River from my balcony. The gym situation could be a little more “advanced” but it’s serviceable.
