We stayed here 2 weeks ago and loved everything - the staff, the room, comfortable bed, swimming pool, steam room & sauna. Breakfasts were wonderful - and so were the staff serving them.
So much so we decided to stay here again less than 2 weeks later as we had more business in Bellingham to attend to.
The first time we stayed (3 nights - buying meals at the hotel restaurant and spending lots of money) we asked to substitute a plain greek yoghurt instead of potatoes and some fresh fruit instead of toast which the breakfast staff did happily.
This weekend - a 2 night stay - we asked for the same thing only to be treated like "naughty school children" by the waitress with long blonde hair in a ponytail. She was quite rude and said it should never have been allowed to substitute on our first visit. This happened on both mornings and ruined our enjoyment of our meal. Considering all the money that we have spent at this hotel - 5 nights within 2 weeks - we were definitely not happy with the way we were treated by this staff member and highly suggest she goes on a training course in how to treat guests in a respectful manner. We will be traveling to Bellingham again shortly but doubt we will stay here again.
We needed a place to stay for one night while passing through Bellingham and found a good deal online for the Holiday Inn & Suites so decided to book it. I didn't expect much for an airport hotel but this place turned out to be a great find. Huge rooms with lots of amenities (fridge, microwave, etc.). Also comfy beds, blackout curtains and decent sound proofing. (I never heard any planes while we were there.) And it's dog friendly ($20 pet fee) which is always a bonus as we often travel with our pooch. We didn't have time to check out the pool and hot tub or restaurant but both looked nice.
I had not stayed at a Holiday Inn in about seven or eight years. But I needed a place in Bellingham for two nights for four people and this worked best. I was very pleasantly surprised. This hotel is a couple of years old but looks in perfect shape. The indoor pool is the nicest I have seen. It has high ceilings that reduce noise. The hot tub, steam room, and sauna were in great shape and worked perfectly. My only complaints were that the room was by the elevator and produced a little noise. And housekeeping seemed to leave a couple of things unfinished after the first day. Marriott and Hilton had nothing on IHG at this hotel.
We stayed here for Christmas while visiting family in the surrounding area. The building was clean and modern. We had a room with two beds to accommodate our children. The beds were not the best compared to other hotels. We switched beds with the kids hoping they would be better but they just were not up to par. The rooms were fairly quiet. I was worried being close to the airport we would hear the jets however that was not the case. Infact the noise I heard was from neighboring rooms or people walking by. A bit louder than I would have liked. The breakfast was not free for adults and a bit on the pricey side. Although it was free for the children. We ate out the rest of the stay. The pool was also clean and accommodating. Overall compared to other hotels in Bellingham we have stayed at this one is not number one on our list.
We stayed here for a Thursday night and were very impressed! The check-in was very quick with clear directions, and the room was a fantastic design. It has a separate nook with a Day bed and trundle, with a living room and bedroom combined. There were plugins everywhere for electronics and accessories!
We had dinner and breakfast in their restaurant, and it was pretty busy both times. They also have a separate bar that looked pretty entertaining. The food was actually really tasty and a much higher level than expected.
The pool area was really clean and they have food and drink service in there!
Would DEFINITELY stay again.
