We stayed here for 4 nights while attending a conference in the hotel. There were 3 of us (2 adults and our 13-year-old son). He loved the outdoor pool, especially coming from rainy weather. The room was spacious enough for us, and the beds were comfortable, although we were a little disappointed with the water pressure in the shower and the WiFi speed (usually just turned it off and used our data plan since it was so slow).
The location was very nice, with free parking nearby and lots of shops and the walkable Sugar Lane area right outside. We would stay here again.
We stayed with family- first time in America for some...... hotel was pleasant, clean and comfortable with all expected facilities..... great pool/gym/jacuzzi.... what made this hotel special was the customer service received at breakfast...... great variety of quality food on offer and a warm welcome every morning from the whole team especially the omelette chef , Luz and Veronica- thank you so much
Arrival and check-in: Valet quickly approached when we arrived. Check-in was efficient but the young lady was not very customer-oriented. Took quite a while to be acknowledged while waiting at the Elite check-in line with no other customers present. I asked about a room upgrade and was given an “upgrade” to a king room on the Concierge level. Not much of an upgrade for my status, and the young lady never acknowledged my Lifetime Titanium status.
Room: Review of room 850. Normal king room. The room included a mini coffee maker, LG TV, safe, mini refrigerator, desk and desk chair, and accent chair and ottoman. Most of the furniture was in good condition except the accent chair and ottoman were very worn and dirty looking. The closet door had some very ugly scratches on it.
Bathroom: Good bathroom with ample counter space and good lighting. Sink had a crack in it, very unusual for a Marriott. Tub was clean, and water pressure was good. The lower wall near the tub had some ugly water damage.
Bed: Good Marriott bed with decent linens. Very clean. Pillows were too flat.
Sleep quality/noise: Excellent. We didn’t hear our neighbors and slept great.
Concierge Lounge: nice lounge with good staff. In the evening, Louisa was very engaged and charming. The evening snacks weren’t very good (for example, the chicken kabobs were dry and pathetic). Breakfast was decent but the eggs were runny. Fresh fruit for breakfast was very good.
Overall staff attitude: Front desk staff needs some training. Both at check-in and check-out, the staff members weren’t attentive or engaged.
Parking: free parking in nearby garage or valet. We used the free parking and had no problems.
Gym/pool: decent gym and small pool.
Tips: Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. If you like craft beer, Flying Saucer is one block away. And Japaneiro’s has some good sushi.
About our review: We’re loyal Marriott Lifetime Titanium status travelers. We’ve been all over the planet, which gives us perspective. And we compose our reviews based on our experiences, not others’ reviews.
from the check in to the checkout everything was perfect. Mr. Johnson at the front desk was way more than just helpful. He asked why my wife and I were from and what occasion we where there for. It was our 37th anniversary. He sent up champagne and chocolate covered strawberry's to our room. He could answer any question asked and was super nice and professional. The bartender Nathan was very busy in the evenings, but still had time to take care of everyone in the bar. The breakfast buffet was super nice and on the premises. all in all a great room, pool, Hot tub and Hotel. Once you park you are able to go to several restaurants and shops and a mall without ever going back to your car. A nice hotel, friendly staff and friendly guests in a great part of town.
Excellent service, the room was perfect and clean and the bed was super comfortable. The pool was great, clean and inviting. The doormen were very helpful with our bags. The only things I found wrong were that the walls are super thin and our neighbors were rockin the bed if you know what I mean, the hot tub was broken and the only parking is in a garage around the corner or pay on the street in front. There are also several restaurants and bars within walking distance.
