I was a little skeptical when I seen the outside of the building but our room was quiet, I didn't hear a peep all night, the rooms were clean and had been updated. Staff was friendly even with our 1am check in. Breakfast could have been better.

The Econolodge is about 8 miles from State College and worth the trip. I stayed overnight after the Elton John concert at BJC because the hotels nearest the venue were either booked or too expensive. I was quite pleased with the Econolodge.....the room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Staff is friendly. I didn't stay for breakfast, which was just a basic continental style (a Sheetz is located not far away for a bigger breakfast if desired). I've another concert planned in a month and I'll be returning to this Econolodge to spend the night afterward.

Our daughter started at Pennn State Aug 2014 and this has been our go to spot ever since! The owners are focused on quality service and it shows. There’s always a clean room, friendly face and warm shower whenever we or friends need it! The rooms are comfortable and welcoming. They’ve even been able to accommodate an extra night or short notice room request when needed! We hesitate telling everyone how reliable they are for fear the secret will get out, but it is so good to know that some places can always be relied upon for quality! Thank you!

Great price. Close to Belefonte, which has tons of great places to eat. Standard room with newly renovated, awesome bathroom. The folks are extremely nice. Will definitely stay again if we're ever out this way again. Great value!

Room was fairly clean, except for some hair in the bathroom. I liked the vinyl flooring which is more allergy friendly than carpet. The only aspect of the stay I didn't care for was the parking. Guests can drive down a side street and park in front of their rooms. It was not well lit and a bit scary for a woman traveling alone.
