Bugs in the room, and the hotel forced us to pay half for the rooms even though we checked out right away. Our foreman gathers keys and waits for us to arrive, we were working late and hungry so we went to eat and came back to gross rooms. The hotel staff was nice about it, but the manager was not when asked for a full refund.
We stopped here for 1 quick night. Room was clean but very basic. The desk chair was totally beat up and tv was small, but everything else was good. Shower was very clean. Good, free, breakfast. Overall it served its purpose and I would stay here again.
Nothing fancy, clean comfortable bed, rather small room but what else do you need? You'll be hearing the same trains that you'd hear from the more expensive hotels next door so why pay more? No elevator, swimming pool but does have a small fitness roo, with good but sparse equipment.
I would like to also point out that the pictures I have from our room versus the pictures on the website are two VERY different things. Our room was dirty!! I was able to write in the dust on top of the microwave. The hotel stunk and was very humid. The floor of our room was damp, there were water spots on the ceiling and under the bathroom sink. There was some kind of debris in the shower. Our room was on the main floor and outside our window was trash in a back patio area. Cobwebs in the window, the drain on the sink was broken. Stain on the carpet right by the elevator. The pool was closed but I understand that can be hard to maintain. This property needs some serious TLC!! The manager is an arrogant piece of work as well.
Let me start off by saying if there hadn't been a terrible storm going on (power even went off once) we would have left.
This hotel has an odd smell, even the pillows smell. When we arrived in our room we were greeted with a completely ripped up desk chair, (needed to be put out for the trash) dirty sheets, smelly microwave, torn shower curtain and dirty bathroom. Needless to say we asked for another room. The next room wasn't that much better, but at least the desk chair wasn't ripped to shreds and the sheets didn't have visible stains. Although, the sheets felt like sandpaper, I am not exaggerating. Again, if it wasn't storming, we would have left!
I don't need to tell you about the breakfast, it goes without saying. And after listing off the clear
filthiness of the place I really wasn't that interested in eating their prepared food!
I was really shocked by how dirty this hotel was. I can't wait to get home and shower!
