If you require a cot you may wish to bring your own matress. The ones provided are travel cot bases (the thinly padded hard-board type) and not suitable for a baby or child to sleep on.
We even phoned prior to our trip to enquire about the mattresses in the cots and was told they are full/ proper mattresses so we didn't bring our own.
The breakfasts were nice.
Room was OK, clean enough but smelt foisty (we had a ground floor room).
Located next to a busy road it was surprisingly quiet.
Never will I stay at this hotel again
I traveled up to YORK from Southampton for my sons uni visit
Having stayed at numerous premier inns this year
I have never experienced the staff to be as rude and miserable
As this stay !
Not even a smile when checking in
Staff very unhelpful
Didn’t have any sleep all night as room was noisy
Very good but seem to me staff members were insufficient. Breakfast was disappointing as some of the listed items were not available in the self service area. WiFi in the room kept disappearing from my phone/iPad.
As expected from a premier Inn very pleasant. Room had smell of damp from ott heater on wall but wasn't an issue as we only stayed 1 night.would probably stay again. Restaurant tiny but food excellent
A great place to stay when visiting York. The Park and Ride bus service was just a short drive away as directed by the very helpful receptionist.
We stayed in a family room (myself, my mum and my 2 teenage daughters) on the ground floor. It was easy to access being on the ground floor although could be a little disturbing with a younger guest running up and down above us!
The room felt cold at first but the temperature control was easy to use and we soon had it warm. We all slept well, we love how efficient the curtains are at keeping it dark.
Breakfast was straightforward with a good range of food to choose from and no limit on drinks. Staff were very good and clearing the tables when needed.
Overall a very comfortable and friendly hotel.
