It is very good .Food is fine.Ambience is good.over all is excellent. The main attraction is private beach they have its extraordinary they provide pick up n drop
Also the pool with music is fentabulous
I would recommend the stay on the cottage which gives the special luxury experience
We went with our family and we have a lovely time there.
Pool is clean and well maintained. The rooms are lovely. Lot of greenery and best part is the Dhaba.
Must try food in Dhaba and a recommended property.
I wanted to go Toshali Sands, Puri, to celebrate the birthday of my wife (12th september) and accordingly booked for 11th and 12th September (2nights).
It's a huge property and well maintained. It will take minimum 2 days to move around the property.
The 33 acres property is covered by different trees, flower plants, green grass and what not!
The resort has beautiful cottages, deluxe rooms, children play area, natural pond, TT, Gym, SPA, Banquet Hall, General Dining Hall, A newly opened Dhaba (Punjabi concept) with varieties of lucrative dishes, Bar, swimming pool with a Bar etc etc.
The staffs are good and cooperative. Mr. Biswa Ranjan, the Relationship manager helped me through out my stay. The foods are really really good and tasty. I met with both MD and CEO (Mr. Harihar Patra and Mr. Banambar Patra) who are extremely good and courteous. Rooms are well maintained and room services are also good. We couldn't move around the property because of cyclone (heavy rain and wind) started from 11th September evening till our departure.
Suggestions for improvement:
1. TV was not working till we checked out though I pointed it out from the beginning
2. Bathroom and bathtub need to be taken care of.
3. A check list maybe provided to the Room boy while getting ready of the room before check-in of the guest so that they may not forget any item to be kept inside
4. Our Intercom was not functioning through out our stay and for that I have to ring Mr. Biswaranjan frequently. Functioning of Intercom is a must for this type of resorts where rooms and cottages are scattered widely.
Toshali Sands and Toshali Sands Nature escape are located in the same property. Please note that the price for taxi from Puri town to Toshali is ~1000/-.
Toshali boasts of a private beach but they don't mention that beach is located ~2km away from the hotel. The hotel provides shuttles every 1.5-2 hours starting 7AM and ending at 3:30PM. They do not provide anything is between.
The food is good, midly overpriced but its expected given the distance from city. There's a DJ and dance floor as well in one of their restaurants - Coastline Dhaba. They also have an artist selling handmade paintings.
The rooms are good and there's lot of greenery in the compund. They have nice golf carts for moving withing the campus with some wildlife.
Toshali has a swimming pool as well. Its good to use but I did find some bugs in the water. Not sure if I would use it again due to hyegiene concerns.
In case you are planning to visit Puri mainly for Darshan and visit to Chilika lake and Konark temple, and are landing at Bhubaneshwar airport, my recommendation is to use self drive cars. Overall it will be cheaper.
Also, do not use the travel desk of the hotel as they are highly overpriced. You can find contact details of taxi services online which will cost you ~1000 less for longer trips.
Overall - decent place to stay. I would not spend more thatn 3-3.5k/day on this.
