Stayed in one of the new motel rooms 'out the back' with large room with 2 beds & ensuite. Well worth staying here and the food was fantastic at the dining room too. Very central location as the name suggests.

We stayed in a motel room, was worth every penny! cost us $165.00 and it was a 10 out of 10! so clean and fresh even with our own balcony! a stones throw from everything in Cloncurry.. food was amazing ! Nena really made the stay there so inviting! She is an asset to that pub! Would stay there again in a heart beat.

We checked in at the bar and appreciated the friendly and efficient process delivered by a nice young woman.

Well, we didn't want an upstairs room as she (who must be...) currently has a dicky knee. So we got the only disabled access room on the premises. Just saying. No big deal except that somebody really disabled might have rocked up and needed it. Anyway we got a huge bathroom with a shower curtain that could have been hung lower, so that it could keep the water in the shower...

The room was great otherwise, well, except for the vertical blinds that were unable to exclude the light from the floodlight outside the bottle shop. And I do detest a floodlit motel room.

Expensive too, but normal for the bush these days, sadly. We'd stay again though; it wasn't that bad!

We ate at the Wagon Wheel across the road, great food with great service from great waitresses, and hit the road at first light, only 3000km from home...

The owner fantastic, very friendly and helpful. The rooms huge and have Austar, they're very clean and comfortable. The meals in the pub are amazing and like the room, huge, I couldn't eat it all. I'd go back and stay at this hotel/motel any time. Great stay.

The dining room is tiny. On a Saturday lunchtime we were very lucky to get a table. Ended up sharing with another couple. A few tables elsewhere in the hotel would be a benefit. Asked about any other tables and was told the only other place to eat was in the public bar at the bar. This a very typical old Queensland pub. Bar staff are efficient. Meal are substantial. Roast of the day was huge. If your looking for a quick lunch don't stop here as it took 20 minutes for our meals to arrive. Hamburgers with chips are $18. Not cheap but probably average for the outback. I had the steak sandwich at $18 with chips which was the best steak sandwich I've had in a long time. Egg, bacon, cheese plus all the usual. We eat in a lot in pubs when we travel. This pub needs to sort out its limited seating as the food is excellent.
