I paid at Motel Quatre Saisons around 100,00 CAD for one night, single occupancy. The motel room was pretty dated, the bathroom was average. It was clean but not comfortable. The personell when checking-in and -out was NOT willing to speak another language (such as English) except French. Unbelievable! The breakfast was good.
we opted for this motel over the Econolodge (which appeared to be the only other motel) because it looked quaint and clean, I only speak English so when I called to book, the receptionist's first response was "No English", so I passed the phone to my husband who is French and he booked us in. When we arrived to check in 15 minutes later, I asked my husband to inquire as to whether breakfast was included, she seemed to understand me well enough then because she answered me directly responding "yes". we needed to catch the Ferry at 9:30 a.m. so we went to get the breakfast at 7 am (which was the advertised opening time) just to find the building locked. We waited until 8:30 and still no one arrived to open the office. I called the motel phone number and of course there was no answer. there were a number of other guests milling about, wondering what was going on as well. I'm not sure why they weren't staffed at that time, we couldn't even properly check out! we just left the key on the desk inside the room. Really not impressed with this establishment at all.
The motel/hotel was at the beginning of the town and with a good price and breakfast included, we stopped for the night. The room was very clean and everything looked like it was regularly dusted! There were no carpets and everything smelled freshly laundered.
The morning (included) breakfast was 'continental' style with cold options but very satisfying. The staff were all very nice and helpful with our questions. Next time we visit the Cote-Nord we'll stay again!
