Well built B&B. Common area is surrounded by huge windows offering a fantastic view . It has high ceiling with warm fire place where you can cozy up on oversized couch. Great time for a Fall visit.

Karen and George are quite hospitable and accommodating when it comes to food allergies. I recommend you email and advise them in advance if you have any food intolerances. Highly recommended and will surely come back for our next visit.

If you want your own, ensuite bathroom, book the type of room called "The Rooster". It also has a beautiful balcony.

Please note that there is a very cute house cat but you will hardly see her. She is limited to certain areas only not accessible to guests.

What a lovely place to stay and leaving was rather difficult. I guess we just have to come back!

Runaway Rooster is a gem. The owners, Karen and George are perfect hosts. Their knowledge of PECounty is extensive and their breakfasts are spectacular. Thanks to their advice we visited some new galleries and wineries. They went out of their way to ensure that my non-gluten dietary meals were gourmet. Their home is beautiful and inviting. The expansive sun-filled great room offers one the opportunity lounge on a large couch, with a glass of wine. Our room was very clean, calming and tastefully decorated. The one acre property has a fire pit, a stream and beautiful gardens. The location is within walking distance of great bistro's, cafes, and some fine dining. Access to Sandbanks is included in the price and not to be missed. My husband and I really didn't want to leave--so we left with the key! We've since returned it...and will be back.

Thank you Karen and George for making our stay in Prince Edward County one to remember. We spent three nights in "the Coop", a comfortable room with funky farm decor and a cozy bed. The shared bathroom was bright, modern, and very clean. We made great use of the back deck for enjoying a beverage before heading out for three great dinners in Bloomfield (walking distance). The Rooster's hosts were courteous and generous, with numerous recommendations and suggestions. The breakfast was amazing, a perfect blend of delicious local flavours (e.g. hand picked blueberries) and detailed presentation. Less than 20 minutes from beaches, wineries, cideries, breweries and Picton attractions, the Runaway Rooster is hard to beat.

The best B&B I stayed in. The pictures do not do it justice as it is beautiful on both the inside and outside. It is clean beyond clean and so well decorated. It has a huge living room to relax in as well as a great back yard. Karen and George as just wonderful people. Karen greats you with a smile and walks you though everything you need and give you the best suggestions for places to eat, wine estates, places to visit. George cooks up an amazing breakfast that is both healthy and tastes delicious. He also set us up in the evening with a nice fire in the fire pit. They both go so above and beyond to make your stay a wonderful experience. We will definitely come back again next year.
