Stayed here under various ownerships and the current management is the best! Bev is the onsite manager and she truly goes way beyond her regular duties. Great cottages...a few smaller ones and several one and two-bedroom ocean view cottages as well...with spectacular views. Some with front porch...great spot to watch the magnificent sunsets...and sunrises! A gorgeous spot with lots of amenities. Cottages are full equipped...kitchen bedrooms, and bath with shower. No need to bring sheets, blankets, towels...or...kitchen utensils! A great getaway. Again...Bev, the manager, is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful...and.. there if you need her. Will definitely go back to Pollock Cove Cottages. I only wish I took more photos of the actual property...I guess I was focussing on the breathtaking views!
These are rustic little cabins. As long as you are prepared for it, you will be ok. There are little kitchens. We stayed in #5, closest to the ocean. It had the basics but the beds were not too comfortable and we were not able to get wifi in this cabin. Fairly inexpensive. The young man who takes care of the cabin came by the last day and pocketed our cash payment in his wallet (no receipt). So pretty basic but OK. Would be fine with kids in the second bedroom. Walking distance to a pretty good restaurant.
We stayed in cottage 5 with another couple. We were comfortable, heat works, plenty of blankets, pillows and cooking necessities. We could see beautiful water views from dining table, couch, bedroom window, not to mention sitting outside in porch chairs or on the hill overlooking the water.
Cooked breakfast after shopping for basics at Village market
Cottage is not fancy or updated but we enjoyed our stay and would come back
We had reserved one of the smaller cabins because it was all that was available, but when we got there, we were able to upgrade to one of the two bedroom cabins! Beautiful views, can walk down to the beach, nice breeze through the cabin. My wife and I were able to see a couple of whales while sitting out on the point in the nice two seat love-Adirondack chair. We went out again at night and could hear some whales or dolphins just off the point as they (probably) munched on the fish that were running.
The cabin was clean, light and airy, could it use a couple of minor (very minor) repairs, sure, but nothing that detracted. Both of the people working there were pleasant and helpful. I would recommend it, and we're planning on visiting again next year.
We had a wonderful stay at Pollock Cove Cottages. It is just as advertized a simple cottage overlooking Pollock Cove. Each cabin has a deck and chairs. We stayed in cottage number 2 and enjoyed our view very much. We could sit on the deck and see whales swim by every day. Our cabin had two bedrooms, a small kitchen with coffee maker, microwave, stove & oven. There were enough pots and pans, dishes, coffee cups, plates and glassware for us. There is a very small variety store you can walk to but also a good size grocery store just a short drive away. There were gas grills avaiable right out side the cottages and each cottage has a picnic table. This is a very laid back place. You pull in go to the office find your name and cabin assignment on a posted list and them just move right in. Mark the owner comes down each afternoon and checks in with everyone and most evenings he came back and lit a fire at the end of the point to watch the sunset and the whales swimming by. The sunsets were beautiful. My 5 star rating is based on our overall expereince not based on luxuary. It's a cabin. We enjoyed meeting the other guests everyone was friendly and welcoming. I would definetly go back in fact I am sure we will. Also fill your car with gas before coming over the bridge to Campobello, no gas stations on the island. Restaurants are few but we enjoyed cooking a simple meal and relaxing on the deck of our cabin.
