I'm not sure if the 5 star reviews on here are merited and it was not what we expected of such a highly rated hotel so i will give an honest review to help you understand what to expect if you stay here.
Positives ;
Spotlessly clean hotel, rooms cleaned every day, free safe.
Soft drinks and beer in the room fridge are free and replaced every day.
Some of the staff are friendly, others not so much but that might be due to the language barrier.
A short 10 minute walk to the main resort down the steps by the road opposite the hotel.
A free minibus to and from the beach, free sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach. The all inclusive drinks are included at the beach bar.
Drinks from the lobby bar are good, surprisingly good whisky and brandy.
Plenty of room to sunbathe and relax on the terrace by the pool.
Now the negatives;
There is no proper bathroom in the room, its open plan so the sink & shower are integrated in the room with no door. The toilet has a door but its in a glass enclosure, so If you want privacy to shower and dry/go to the toilet there is none.
The food although ok is not hot enough, the dining room could really do with a microwave to heat up your food.
The swimming pool is very small, six people in it at the same time would make it crowded.
The terraces are very bare and could do with some plants to brighten it up, there were some planters but everything in them was dead as they were not watered.
There is an open self service bar by the pool but i wouldn't touch the soft drink machine. Large wasps (twice the size of wasps we see in the UK) were crawling up the spouts of the drinks dispensers, not only does it look nasty but is very unhygienic.
There is nothing to do at night, they made an attempt to put some entertainment on when a couple of local acts, dancers/singers came in for an hour on 2 nights but not really good entertainment.
At 4pm the staff bring spirits to the pool area to mix cocktails along with a few baguettes and some cakes. On one day the waiter brought out empty bottles of gin and vodka, rather than go inside to get more he just said there was none left.
Unfortunately the food is kept in an outdoor fridge which was not clean. We witnessed the manageress supervising the cleaning of it after about day 5 of our holiday, I suspect it doesn't happen often.
There was also an ice cream freezer outside which disappeared on the same day the fridge was cleaned, no explanation was offered as to why.
What the photographs don't show is the hotel is situated next to a busy road and is not the "tucked away location" claimed in its description. Also right next door is a large arched corrugated iron shed which is some sort of car storage facility. They have tried to disguise it with army camouflage nets but its still an eyesore.
All in all we enjoyed our stay here, it was relaxing, the weather was great but would we return? --- the answer is a no from me, we have stayed in far better places at a similar price.

We found a last minute deal with 'first choice' holidays, from the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the quality of the hotel, the reception staff were welcoming, check in was quick and efficient.
This is an adult only, all inclusive hotel, the rooms are modern and the overall cleanliness was spot on and they were spacious, all rooms have a balcony with a pool view, flat screen tv, in room safe, toilet and shower and they are fully air conditioned, fridge with mini bar containing beer, soft drinks and water which was replenished daily.
The lobby bar was only small but functional, bar staff were really friendly, they stocked a full range of drinks and hand made cocktails and was open from 10.00am until 11.00pm.
The restaurant was open for breakfast, lunch and evening dinner and the food was always excellent (2 theme nights in the 7 days we were there) the chef was always on hand to explain the dishes on offer and was always keen to help in any way. Snacks were available to order at the bar when the restaurant was closed.
The pool area had pleanty of sun beds and a self service bar with beer, soft drinks and water, a life guard was there all the time the pool was open.
The staff from the manageress down, were really friendly and seemed genuinely concerned that everything was to our satisfaction.
Although the hotel was a 10 minute walk from the town and beach, it was a haven of peace and tranquillity.
We would recommend to anyone that is looking for a quality hotel with excellent food and drink to give the 'grifid foresta' a try

A new hotel with many amenities over its category. Set in a quiet area, perfect for families or for people who want to relax
Room amenities: The room is very large, including storage, the beds offer a soothing sleep, very good AC, bathroom with shower and separate WC cabin, cleaning is exemplary, towels that change every day, the furniture is modern, the rooms have a balcony with table and chairs where you can relax in an exaggerated peace
The hotel has an animator who does everything possible to make you feel excited by participating in various activities; There is a periodical show in the lobby with live music to saxophone and or classic guitar
The all-inclusive system: there is a lobby bar where you can enjoy drinks throughout the day, the buffet is buffet style (there is variety and especially the taste of food, which offers a special note); Offers sunbeds and umbrellas at the hotel pool, free transportation to the beach (beverage beach bar); free wireless internet access in rooms. All GRIFID branding; I can say that the slogan specialists in what they do best suits them.
The hotel staff is always with a smile on the lips and tries to satisfy the customers' exigencies.

The hotel is good but we have to divide the note:
-in plus: nice room - modern style, flat tv, kettle, hairdryer, small shampoo and shower gel (15ml) on the first day only, one bottle of mineral water on the first day only.
Meals were also tasty, fresh and good.
Pleasent staff.
European standard.
- In minus: unpleasant smell in the toilet which was the part of the room (perhaps the problem with sewage system).
Very loud air conditioning system and ventilation system (not only in our room but in all rooms that you can hear when somebody use the toilet or shower).
Transfer to the beach and from the beach only twice a day (09:30 am, 02:30pm to the beach and 12:30 pm, 5:30 pm from the beach). If not, you have to walk to the beach for 25 minutes.
The hotel is next to the road and gas station so you can hear the noise all night.
The breakfast is the same all the time.
