Just returned from a 10 night stay at the hotel as a couple.
We had a really friendly welcome and check in was a breeze, our twin room was on the top floor level 4 and there is a lift.
Some rooms over look the pool,or neighbouring hotels.
Our room had 2 balconies over looking the neighbouring Izola Hotel.
The beds were pushed together and the mattress was topped with memory foam and was comfy but a bit low down for my liking.
A large window with net curtain and faded red curtains covered both patio type doors.
The balconies were spacious, one was equipped with a table and 2 chairs, and they were covered.
The room had a mirrored dressing table with concealed small fridge in a cupboard, which cleverly cuts down on the noise, a hair dryer, kettle, 2 small cups and 2 drinking glasses, another 2 coffee tables, suitable for putting your suitcases on, a wardrobe with half a dozen hangers, but only 1 drawer on the dressing table to hide your smalls, and a single chair to sit on.
The bathroom was compact, with a mixer shower, shower curtain, big mirror, soap provided, a small shelf and tumbler for those tooth brushes.
The water was always hot but dribbled slowly on some occasions when other guests were probably showering too.
Overall the room was comfortable, tastefully decorated and a perfect base.
No additional costs for the air con was a surprise, as was the flat screen mini tv.
The safe costs 5 lev a day and is situated in a room next to reception.
We didn't hear any noise from other rooms, but the Izola hotel got pretty rowdy late on into the night on some nights.
The pool was small but ok with a separate children's pool and no deeper than 1.2m.
There was about 40 sunbeds some with cushions to lie on, a few people reserved their daily sun bed spot, but most didn't.
Some of the sunbeds are shaded because of fruit trees over hanging them, but they can be positioned into the sunlight.
As the sun goes on it's path, your once sunny sunbed, soon becomes shaded and vice versa, except for a few premium spots.
The grounds are immaculate providing fruit for use in the restaurant, with tidy paths and well trimmed trees and plants.
A few trickling water features and patio furnishings add to the chilled pool area.
Friday afternoons 3pm to 6pm a pool party happens with loud modern music and thumping bass, with shots and cocktails if you fancy them.
One thing I didn't like was the hotel staffs children using the pool during the day, 2 rather noisy and moody boys played aggressively splashing and screaming whilst mum was working in the hotel occasionally glaring down at the them.
That said one the workers little girl and her friend, played in the pool on occasion in a quiet and respectful way.
There is occasional loud music and noise from neighbouring hotels, but it doesn't go on for more than a hour at a time.
The bar and restaurant staff provide a waiter service around the pool, but the bar is only a few meters away anyhow.
The restaurant is clean and tastefully decorated, for use for morning breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, a full bar and soft drinks fridges.
The breakfast had a good selection of cereals, jams, breads, cakes, fruit, yoghurt, cold meats and cheeses.
A hot selection of Scrambled eggs, fried eggs, frankfurters, cocktail sausages, baked beans, tomatoes, pastries, gammon / bacon and other things that changed daily.
There were juices and squash, a selection of teas and coffee machines.
The morning choice of music was interesting I've never heard a techno version of Wonder wall before, but it greeted us every day bar 1.
The town centre is 5 minutes walk away and has to be seen to be believed.
It really is like walking back into the twilight zone, on a night out as you make your way back.
It's nothing to be feared, it's just Sunny beach.
The beach is reached by walking through the town centre, or take a mini train for 4 levs each way per person.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the reception and restaurant staff can't do enough for you, we met some really nice guests, and those that just kept themselves to themselves.
It suits all types of holiday maker.
