We arrived after cycling from Myrtleford and were happy to find a clean, spacious rooms and the owners were very welcoming. It was an easy walk into town and at this time of year it is a gorgeous autumnal display. We were offered a breakfast the next morning with coffee and fresh orange juice. They even offered freshly stewed apples which were served warm. What a nice way to start the day. The dining room is filled with Frances (owner) artwork which is so lovely.
I found the booking communication efficient but not overly helpful with my requests. I chose this place because I booked late and it was one of the only things left as I believe Bright is popular at this time of year. It is not particularly close to the town centre especially if the weather is bad.
The room was basic but large and clean but it was sterile.
I was only in for one night as I was attending a wedding so it was okay for that as I didn't have to spend a lot of time in the room.
I suggest they delineate their parking spaces with the rooms however. When I returned in the late evening, someone had parked their large 4 wheel drive in a space that could have accommodated 2 large cars meaning I had the tiniest space to park my large car.
The same people were awake at 5am in the morning and acting like it was the middle of the day giving no consideration to the noise they were making. The walls must be paper-thin as I could hear everything. I did not have a restful sleep - not good when you have a 4 hour drive back to Melbourne.
Bright was beautiful and I will definitely return but overall, I would not choose to stay here again. This could have been a basic motel anywhere on a highway.
Well set up with flat entry, bathroom has flat entry, handheld shower, plenty of room. Attention to detail with all crockery accessible from wheelchair, microwave at good level. Room between beds, only had to angle bed slightly to make a bit more room. We will stay again. Booked online without needing to ring, as great photos online showed us what we neede to see. Stones in car park -manageable. Good BBQ Area
Arrived at New Years - a heatwave, but our cathedral ceiling room was cool and air-conditioned and so roomy. We've stayed here a number of times and it's always beautifully clean and comfortable. The owners are very welcoming, there's a lovely pool and you're a 5 min walk to the shops in Bright via the bike/walking track. Plenty of parking for your car if you've driven here. It's a hidden, friendly, comfortable gem!
We arrived on Xmas day and were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves in a very spacious room with a wonderful cathedral ceiling. The large room housed two beds - a queen and double(?) which was perfect for us three adults. The bathroom (by motel standards) is equally generous in size and it was great to step into a large shower space with plenty of hot water at great pressure. The setting is quiet, peaceful, and picturesque. The owners were friendly and most helpful. Original artwork created by owner Frances adorned the walls. Give me this sort of spaciousness over "quaint" any day!
