Always clean, always friendly. Fantastic view of mountains. Nice gazebo area with rocking chairs. Rooms remodeled and more on medium to small size with sink outside bathroom so two can get ready at once. Breakfast is average and room very small but outside tables on patio if nice weather. Road is very noisy so request room away from front. Easy walk to festival grounds. Drive to casino is very winding and narrow. Lots of antique shops and fantastic antique mall and gift shops in area.

Stayed here on a Thursday night for business. Rate was reasonable especially for the Fall season; beautiful location and view of the mountains. Easy to find location and it is on nice, level ground (no hilly entrances or blind inclines). Friendly staff and room was clean. Now for some areas of improvement...

Loud! The room walls and ceilings were quite thin. When I went to bed I could hear the guests in the room on the other side of the wall. And I could hear some of the footsteps of the guests overhead. Plus when I was in the bed I could hear the water running in the shower of the room overhead. Not sure what can really be done to fix this but all have been forewarned.

Smallish Breakfast area: This is the smallest breakfast area I have ever seen in a hotel. I do not think there were even 10 tables in the room and it felt quite cramped. The breakfast fare was ok but the room was so small that if you did not get there early you would have to take the food back to your room. Again, not sure what can be done to fix this issue.

All in all, I would consider a return to this hotel as the rate is competitive with other similar hotels in the area.

This is my fourth time staying here. Eight days this time. Absolutely zero complaints. The rooms are beautifully decorated, clean and modern. They include a flat screen, microwave, fridge, lounge chair, desk and more. And all of that is just a standard room. The pool is always nice and clean. The breakfast is fabulous. Service is excellent. I highly recommend it for an enjoyable stay and it is right next-door to the city’s festival grounds. So if you’re here for an event book early.

This is our 3rd time staying at this hotel, a weeks stay each time. Previous 2 trips were excellent, the hotel staff and cleanliness was excellent. Breakfast was also excellent. We look forward to visiting Maggie Valley and the Comfort Inn Hotel each year.

This year however, the cleanliness of the room is less than what's expected. The interior of the fridge had body hair on the bottom, I cleaned it out before putting our foods inside. We also did not have any wash rags when we checked in, we set the alarm clock to wake up and the alarm does not work. The heat lamp in the bathroom also does not work. The tub shower had body hair all over the wall and bottom of the tub, we were not able to hang the iron up in the closet because the screws had stripped loose on the wall mount for the iron, but someone had just pushed the screws with the mount into the holes in the wall. The floor was not vacuumed while we were there, the coffee packs in the room were not refilled - we don't drink decaf so I assume they seen packs there and did not check to see if we had caffeinated packs. Our first morning - the breakfast was not available at 6am - the room was locked and a Male employee was sitting at the table on his phone inside the dining room. We were told he was new and did not know breakfast started at 6am. The second morning the gentleman fixed breakfast again and overcooked the hot food items, we were not able to chew or even cut the eggs because they were so rubbery. The juice machine was not setup- it filled our cups with yellow tinged water - I assume the OJ is a frozen mix sort of thing and it had not melted or mixed properly, nor was the coffee fixed and available. Our room on the first floor, #131, had a very bad smell, like a wet dog mixed with moldy mildewed laundry. We did not complain to the staff, nor request a different room due to the hotel already having been filled due to bike rally's and guests in the area, we knew we wouldn't be able to swap rooms.

Unfortunate to say, as previous stays were as I said, top notch excellence in food, service, and cleanliness, but our return trips to Maggie Valley, we will not be staying at the Comfort Inn.

Can’t say enough good things about this place. It gets better every time we stay here. Towels are great, room is always clean, breakfast wonderful, even updated to USB ports in the room. Marie was there at check in along with Teddie ( she said she retired but she’s coming back 2 days a week)🙂 . Love them so much and so personable. Always pleasant and smiling. Mike, the owner has done a great job keeping the place up. I guess he is the owner.. he’s been there awhile. He was so kind to us many years ago.
