We stayed there during a visit to a local college. The directions said the hotel was 26 miles away, but the drive took over almost an hour because of the narrow mountain roads. The hotel is directly across the street for a Wal-mart and restaurants. There are several gas stations and banks in the area as well. The breakfast was hot with your option of making a waffle. They are renovating the hotel so we had to enter the building through the pool area. It wasn't a big deal, but you had to be careful of the water on the floor. The room was spacious and the fixtures were clean.
From the moment we walked in the front desk was super friendly and very helpful. The hotel was very clean and room was really nice. The continental breakfast was probably the best I have ever seen at a hotel that offers breakfast. Unfortunately it started to rain shortly after check in so we did not get a chance to use the pool. There was a Walmart across the street.
Friendly. Great room. Clean. Big bathroom. Nice design. Very comfortable bed. Great pillows. Breakfast was really good. Lots of choices and fresh selections. Son used fitness center and said it was good. Didn't use pool.
I had been part of an old car event that ended in Blowing Rock. Rather than driving home the same day, I looked for an overnight in Blowing Rock or Boone. The inflated prices quickly moved me "down the hill" to Lenoir and the Comfort Inn. At 100 bucks per night I wasn't expecting much, but it was clean, looked to have been recently re-furbished with generous rooms, microwave, fridge, bar sink, free wi-fi and a comfy bed. There is an outdoor pool, not sure about hot tub. The breakfast was a good as any motel breakfast on paper plates with plastic utensiles and there is plenty of selection. I normally save hotel/motel reviews for dumps that need to be identified or 5 stars for stellar high-end hotels, but this property deserves credit. For travelers to the Blowing Rock area, it is a bargain. You can always drive up the hill to enjoy the views.
This was a great place to stay in Lenoir. We found the location to be gòod for visiting local attractions and convenient to shopping and restaurants. The room was very comfy, the staff was great, and the breakfast was very good. Only drawback was the pool was outdoors and not always usable depending on weather.
